Debbie W.S. Resigns Under Fire as DNC Chair
by

Well, this was long overdue.

On the eve of the Democratic National Convention, Debbie Wasserman-Schultz will resign from her duties at the conclusion of the convention. She will be succeeded by former DNC Chair and current CNN panelist Donna Brazile. While Wasserman-Schultz will open and close the convention, Ohio Democratic Congresswoman Marcia Fudge will chair the remainder of the proceedings.

The resignation came in the midst of a release of DNC e-mails by Wikileaks which reveal the concerted effort of the DNC to stick it to Bernie Sanders. One senior DNC official suggested questioning Sanders’ Jewish faith. Of course, this confirms what everyone has known for months – the DNC is rigged. For his part, Sanders has long called for her resignation. It was only a month ago that Hillary’s campaign stripped her of much of her authority at the DNC so the writing was on the wall.

Still, at that time, I predicted W-S would last through the election as a face saving measure. Well, there’s no saving that face now. For all the chaos during last week’s GOP Convention, the Democratic National Convention couldn’t have a more inauspicious start.
