Some good news for conservatives in Canada tonight. Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall and his Saskatchewan Party have won their third consecutive majority government. They are elected or leading in 49 of 61 seats with a staggering 63% of the vote as opposed to 12 seats and 29.4% of the vote for the NDP. The Liberals and Greens will be shut out as usual.
Keep in mind that Saskatchewan is the cradle of Canadian socialism going back to the CCF days under Tommy Douglas. This is the first time in over 90 years a non-socialist party has won three consecutive majority governments in Saskatchewan. This makes Brad Wall the most popular conservative in Canada.
