Donald Trump was, as usual, bluntly forthright.
On August 1, as arrangements were in gear to return Ebola-stricken missionaries to the U.S., The Donald tweeted:
The U.S. cannot allow EBOLA infected people back. People that go to far away places to help out are great—but must suffer the consequences!
Predictably, all hell broke lose. Typically, this did not deter Trump from pursuing his point. On August 2, as the uproar over his remarks continued, Trump tweeted:
The U.S. must immediately stop all flights from EBOLA infected countries or the plague will start and spread inside our “borders.” Act fast!
And later that day, he went back to the subject, tweeting:
The fact that we are taking the Ebola patients, while others from the area are fleeing to the United States, is absolutely CRAZY—Stupid pols
More outrage. Newsmax reported on Trump August 4, two days later:
