Senator Ted Cruz continues to hold the floor after taking control of the upper chamber of Congress at about 2:40 p.m. So far, we've heard about how the outcome of the continuing resolution vote is predetermined…like matches in the World Wrestling Federation. We've heard how most Americans "could not give a flying flip" about politicians in Washington, most of whom "are in cheap suits with bad haircuts." We've heard questions from Mike Lee and Rand Paul, among others.
There's no procedural significance here, according to ABC News, which reports that Cruz cannot block a vote and may only speak for a maximum of 15 hours. But it does make for an interesting show.

Any bets on whether Cruz's speech will surpass Rand Paul's filibuster on drones earlier this year, which stretched past hour 12?
