In my reply to Matthew Walther concerning our discussion over the UK Independence Party, I happen to mention Rand Paul in passing.
Needless to say, Rand Paul's cameo in my post did not go over well with Matt and prompted this hysterical response.
Apparently, Matt went through my archive to see what he could use against me and the best he could come up with was....Herman Cain? Well, at least Herman Cain doesn't pal around with Alex Jones.
Surely, Matt can put forward a better effort than that. If mean if he really wanted call my credibility in question then all he had to do was remind people that I predicted the Tampa Bay Devil Rays would win the World Series in 2006. The D'Rays finished that season with 101 losses and were 36 games back of the New York Yankees. But I digress.
O.K., so I'm not a fan of Rand Paul. Why does Matt care? If Rand Paul is, as Matt says, "the most popular Republican Senator in the United States" then why is he fretting over an offhand comment? What does it matter what I think of Rand Paul? I am but one blogger. Or must all stand with Rand?
