This morning The Blaze reported that Gennifer Flowers, a self-proclaimed former long-time squeeze of Bill Clinton’s who first emerged during the 1992 campaign, claimed in an interview that Bill told her Hillary Clinton was bisexual and that he “didn’t care” about that.
The trials and tribulations of the Clintons have been well-documented over the years, but this report might shed even more light on things.
Bill’s philandering with his intern Monica Lewinsky was big news, as was the slew of other accusations of sexual misconduct, highlighted by Paula Jones and Juanita Broaddrick—though there were others which have proven to be either tenuous or false.
Flowers commented on the Clintons’ marriage in an interview with the Daily Mail, saying:
“What they have is very strong.”
“It obviously worked for them but I’ve never considered theirs a traditional marriage.”
To be fair, there are certain things about Flowers that makes one question the credibility of her claims. For one she stated that she and Bill “have some unresolved issues that it would be nice to sit down and talk about now” and that “He was the love of (her) life and I was the love of his life and you don’t get over those things.” Maybe she just hasn’t gotten over Bill and Hillary is the scapegoat.
“Bill and I would be together today if it wasn't for politics. It was me, Bill and Hillary. Then they had Chelsea and the stakes got too high,” Flowers said. Hillary would, it suffices to say, represent a cause of her unhappiness, and for that Flowers has harvested a cornucopia of antipathy for Hillary and what she represents to her: the reason behind a romance wilted.
In any event, we can expect that the subject of bisexuality will not be embraced by Hillary’s platform come 2016.
