The Dominican Republic defeated Team Netherlands 4-1 to advance to the final of the 2013 World Baseball Classic tomorrow night against Puerto Rico. The Dominicans scored all four runs in the fifth inning. The Netherlands, who had beaten the D.R. twice in the 2009 WBC, could not replicate that magic tonight. Dominican pitchers held Team Netherlands to four hits as Fernando Rodney celebrated his 36th birthday with a save.

The undefeated Dominican team has beaten Puerto Rico twice in the WBC tournament. However, it is difficult to beat a team thrice in a row. So I'm not counting out Puerto Rico tomorrow night.
