Tonight's debate in Jacksonville may be the most important one yet. There's been a huge momentum shift in favor of Mitt Romney just days after an equally large shift in favor of Newt Gingrich. With the numbers so volatile, the debate could swing the Florida primary. And a loss could potentially do fatal damage to either man's candidacy.
Immigration has loomed large as an issue between Romney and Gingrich. So have dueling financial disclosures, the Cayman Islands, and what the candidates thought about Reagan in the 1980s. This race is getting uglier as the stakes get higher. Audiences will be allowed to react tonight, so expect Newt to try to whip up the crowd.
