Piggybacking on Jim's excellent Politico column from earlier this week on the political lessons Ron Paul could still learn, I thought I'd share this piece by authentic good egg Barry Donegan, "A Punk-Rock Libertarian in Ronald Reagan's Court," wherein he describes how Paul's 2008 inspired him to run for Director at Large of the Davidson County (Nashville) Republican Party, through which he received a political education of his own.
There's a lot of wisdom in Donegan's suggestions on how to approach and persuade people in the poisonous atmosphere of modern politics, I think.
