On Good Morning America this morning, a reporter did a piece on Sarah Palin's appearance at a Tea Party rally in Boston. The subtitle flashed: "Palin calls other side unAmerican."
I found this surprising but hadn't heard the speech. Of course, that's not exactly how it went. During her speech, Palin praised attendees for electing Scott Brown and also said Democrats were doing things that were un-American. She refrained from calling Democrats un-American, but said the policies they're advocating "the unintended consequences of these actions, the results, are un-American."
Big difference. But then it was Good Morning America, a co-host of which is George Stephanopoulos (though I assume he had nothing to do with the misleading subtitle).
