Giuliani: Republican Can Win Massachusetts

BOSTON -- "This state has voted Republican before and it can vote Republican again," Rudy Giuliani said today while touring the city's North End with GOP Senate candidate Scott Brown.

With polls showing Brown now surging ahead of Democrat Martha Coakley, Giuliani appeared at a rally with Brown at the Paul Revere monument in the predominantly Italian neighborhood.

"[Brown's] election, I believe, will send a signal, and a very dramatic one," said Giuliani, who excoriated the Obama administration's policy of trying terrorists in civilian courts.

A crowd of several hundred supporters turned out to greet Brown and Giuliani, who were followed by a large press contingent as they visited a nearby fire station and walked three blocks to Caffe Vittoria, a landmark eatery in a community famed for its Italian restaurants.

"I love campaigning here because, frankly, they feed me," Giuliani joked at the rally.
