If there was any doubt in your mind that President Obama wants
to use sequestration as a political weapon,
this should dispel it:
The Obama administration announced Tuesday that it will cancel
all tours starting this weekend, due to sequester cuts. The move
prompted swift condemnation from Republican lawmakers, who
described the decision as the latest attempt to make the sequester
seem worse than it is.
Obama is spending $2.4 million on White House staff
than President Bush. But we’re supposed to believe that tiny
budget cuts require that the (often self-guided) tours get the ax.
As Rep. Ted Poe put it, “the people have been banned from the
people’s house.”

Oh pity! I was planning on visiting obama's 'deeelux apartment in the sky'. I was even hoping for a chance visit with Mother Robinson.

I wonder if he turned the heat down in the White House to save money? Will he start wearing a sweater like Jimmy Carter?
Tune in tomorrow for more developments!

So whatddya think, is the WH shameless enough to cancel the WH Easter Egg Roll if this sequestration farce continues?

I'm expecting an announcement tomorrow that King O has issued an Executive Order terminating all Feral Govt. Holidays until Congress agrees to raise taxes on the Rich.
It has become that idiotic.

"Feral Govt.?" Is this spelling deliberate?

I would suppose representatives from Goldman Sachs still get in depth tours of the Oval Office.

The White House has not been the people's house for a long while. But now it has become the Versailles palace of the Sun King.

You don't think this is a prudent non-essential expense to cut back on if we're going to have across the board cuts?
