[Update: Even though I still enjoy the “threat” headlines, the details of the e-mails at issue in this story make Woodward’s claim of being threatened seem overstated.]

[Update 2: When you have a Chicago thugocracy, it’s not surprising that more stories of threats start to percolate out, such as from former Clinton aide Lanny Davis…]

Ain’t it just grand to see the Obama administration pick a fight with a well-respected (but still quite liberal) reporter?

This bunch of petty tyrants in the White House is looking more like who they really are with each passing day. The question is when most of America will realize it. The answer to that probably has something to do with when the media starts telling the truth.

Picking a fight with Bob Woodward seems like an especially stupid move for an administration which relies on the media hiding the administration’s true nature, but par for the course for a government filled with bullies.

A bunch of Chicago politicians acting like a bunch of Chicago politicians; who'd've thunk it?

A great question. Obama has been lost on an ego trip for as long as he has been a public persona. What has kept the trip going is the chorus of foolish sycophants. Who knows, maybe some day the cheer-leading press will put down their pom poms and the people will see him for who he is.

Pictures of Baracko Mussolini are looking more Nixonian every day.

And yet it's racist for Michelle Bachmann to accurately describe it as "gangster government"?

As each day passes, those words seem more prescient.

If she had said gangsta, maybe.

The answer to your question, Ross, about when Americans are going to wake up and discover there are petty tyrants infesting the White House, is, never. The media cannot tell the truth, and you know this, and you know why. If, by some miracle, people should stumble into realizing the nature of just what is in power, they won't much care. A majority loves the smooth talk and snake oil the drummer-in-chief keeps supplying. President-in-waiting Hillary will be providing more of the same very soon.

Ross, yes I love it that they are EATING THEIR OWN! Happy days are here again! When one shark bleeds and the other one surrounding it go chomp, chomp, chomp is a good day indeed. Will it accompolish anything? No, because they will kiss and make up shortly, but it is still a delightful moment in time. Maybe Woodward will be invited to a beer summit at the WH, who knows? Maybe Michelle will write a forward to his next book, who knows? Maybe the stupid American public will finally wake up amd smell the dying roses........nah, no way. Maybe his carcus will be deposited on Dowd's doorstep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maxwell| 2.28.13 @ 1:30PM

Oldefarte, with all due respect I highly doubt Ms. Dowd would know what to do with a man, even one as old as Mr. Woodward.
