The Spectacle Blog

I just finished reading Jeffrey H. Anderson’s piece in The Weekly Standard about how the California Department of Transportation has been thwarting the efforts of the Old Town Orcutt Revitalization Association to erect an American flag and build a memorial honoring our troops and yet has no problem giving the green light to projects honoring Fidel Castro and Che Guevara.

Something is very wrong with America when its authorities refuse to honor our heroes and the flag for which they stood while casually bestowing honor upon our enemies and their ideology.

The flaw in your conclusion is to assume that California is part of America. I'm afraid that is no longer true. Thanks for the link. The article pretty well says it all.

I left California in 1993. Third best decision of my life (marrying the Boss, number 2; adopting the world's best kids, number 1).

Just a taste of what's been going on for a while now:
