Thanks to Donald Trump

It has come to my attention that Donald Trump took the time to tweet my article on Karl Rove yesterday. For which I want to make a point of thanking him. (Here’s the link.)

In his typically shy and retiring fashion, Mr. Trump has not hesitated to express his opinion on Mr. Rove’s activities, as here.

This issue is not going away.

Pumpkin Head Rove spent a billion dollars to no effect in 2012. In Washington, that's success. After all, the Washington Redskins spent $ 100 million on Albert Haynesworth and received nothing more than comedy for the expenditure.

There is no question but that Karl Rove is a bloviating idiot. But if there is anyone who tops him in that category, it's Donald Trump.

What a pair! (Or should I say trio.)

W Really, Really Hurt Us. The policy of not defending oneself aggressively (which the Obama administration does do, to its credit---the one thing we Conservatives should be taking notes on is the Obama counterpunch approach---re-electing a druggie scumbag is an impressive political achievement, and is the only impressive thing Obama has done), which Rove spearheaded, is a moronic thing. Memes are important for low data voters.

Trump may bloviate, but his essential contention, that Obama is a disaster for the USA and does NOT have its best interests at heart, is uncontestable.

Also "uncontestable" is the fact of the STUPIDITY OF THE AMERICAN PEOPLE for electing and re-electing this "disaster". The old saying of BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU WISH FOR will come back to bite us all in our combined posteriors very soon!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

RCV| 2.9.13 @ 8:24PM

Not only is it not "uncontestable", Occam, it's contested by most Americans, and with good reason. From the shambles W left the economy in at the end of his term - a near financial collapse -- our stock market is close to an all-time high, inflation is non-existent, the two wars Bush started are close to ending, we have near-universal health coverage for the first time in our history, we are about to get comprehensive immigration reform and we have made great progress toward ending the irrational primitive hostility toward our fellow human beings who happen to be gay. For most of us, that's as far from disaster as you can get.

Occam's Tool| 2.10.13 @ 3:22AM

RCV: unemplyment is rampant, inflation was non-existent under Bush and is actually quite terrible now---it is simply not measured properly---those of us who have to shop for groceries for kids know about the price of milk, and the price of Campbell's soup has almost doubled in the last 3 years (for instance), we are being run out of the Middle East as a laughingstock, our Ambassadors are free to be sodomized, (our economy was in shambles because of a Democratic Congress in 2006-2008, by the way), and we are not going to get Comprehensive Immigration reform that will work.

Further, health insurance does not equal access to health care, as you will find out.

Don't get me started on the pathetic security of our ports and the possibilty of terrorist strikes against them.

You're a nice guy, RCV, and you won the Presidential election, but the Republicans still control the House for good reason. The economy is about to take a belly flop into the toilet. Our stock market is at an all time high in large part because our dollar is at an all time low. I remember when going to Canada to shop meant bargains galore. No longer.

By the way: "uncontested" is in my Compact Oxford English Dictionary (from the Folio Society). That would imply an "uncontestable."

As I said before, Obama really hates this country. He will be remembered as a John Tyler in execution of his office. The only outstanding thing about him from the point of the history of the office of the POTUS is the color of his skin.

Occam's Tool| 2.10.13 @ 3:25AM

By the way, my mistake: "unemployment."

RCV| 2.10.13 @ 1:44PM

Things may be looking bleak in your little isolated neck of the woods, Occam, but not from where most Americans sit. It's going to be a fine four years for our country, and a fine eight years after that under Hillary's administration.

Did you ever send my bet winnings to Yad Vashem?
