Well, John McCain tried.

After months of demanding answers about the attack on our Benghazi facility, he finally got his chance to cross-examine Hillary Clinton today. Moments ago, McCain gave a blistering statement, declaring from the beginning, “The answers, frankly, that you’ve given this morning are not satisfactory to me.” He categorically rejected her response to another senator that they didn’t know what sort of attack it was. He wondered why the administration tried to tell the American people what had happened when they hadn’t even interviewed the people who were at the site of the attack. And besides, McCain exclaimed, “People don’t bring RPGs and mortars to spontaneous demonstrations! That’s a fundamental.”

Clinton said she sympathized with McCain, a friend of Ambassador Stevens. She then ignored most of his inquiries and instead complained about holds that Congress had put on funding initiatives for Libya. “We have to get our act together between the administration and Congress,” she declared.

It was more than Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wisc.) got. After Johnson asked several tough questions about Susan Rice, Clinton became indignant. “With all due respect, the fact is we had four dead Americans!” she shouted.

In other words, no answers, no responsibility, and some finger-pointing at House Republicans for good measure.

I suppose we shouldn’t have expected anything more.

At least Rand Paul was able to have her on record stating she was not aware the Benghazi embassy was used to transport guns to nearby country. He didn't allow her to talk out his 5 minutes either. Good on him.

Of course they would blame the House Republicans. It is a part of the effort to discredit all Republicans. The one that is entirely to blame are the idiots that currently occupies the White House and the Senate Majority Leader seat.

And now on to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs later today. I hope the few with spines go hard after her for blaming the House for not sufficiently funding the security of the embassy.

My hopes are that lleana Ros-Lehtinen and Mike Pence rise to the occasion. Too bad Darrell Issa and Trey Gowdy aren't on the committee. That would be fun!

On the other side of the aisle, I'm quite sure Frederica Wilson will ask pointed, intelligent questions AND NOT spend her time praising Hillary's lifetime of public service. Um, yea, I'm quite sure that wont happen. Um, yea, quite sure.

Did anyone think this wasn't going to be a well thought out show by Hillary? She is not going to tell the truth. She would be on trial for murder, if she tells the truth. She has the master of liers in her corner. Only satan can beat her husband in lying. She is a disgrace to our country and one of the biggest traitor's to our Constitution.

Once again a failure of Republicans to control the narrative and effectively utilize an incredible opportunity to not only tell the truth but expose the lying and corruption.

Correct. The Repubs should have coordinated their tactics ahead of time, choosing one aspect of Hillary's failure and driving it home with every question or statement. The fact that she and her flunkies lied about the cause of the attack would be my preference.

.... The Repubs should have coordinated their tactics ahead of time, choosing one aspect of Hillary's failure and driving it home with every question or statement ....

True but that there are no Republicans!

It's sad that governments are chiefed by the double tongues

And, if I were Johnson, I would have responded,"Yes, ma'am, and you let them die, as YOU are responsible for State Department security, in combination with Mr. Obama. I'm trying to find out how. Now, Susan Rice gave us false information under your leadership---I'm trying to find out why. Stop screaming and answer the question."

.... we shouldn’t have expected anything: ....

From the treasonous, recidivist, lying, looting, thieving, mass-murdering, co-serial-rapist dumbest woman in all of Human History to have ever taken a dump between two shoes and to have failed the especially-dumbed-down-for-demographics DC Bar and/or to have once be-squatted and be-manured our once and until that time white House;

And I did not!
