According to Boston Mayor Tom Menino, Vice-President Joe Biden has “guaranteed” there will be new gun control legislation by the end of January in response to the Newtown shootings last month.
Menino, who has spent the fall of 2012 in the hospital for various ailments, had several conversations with Biden over the phone.
The five term mayor said, “I understand the second amendment, the right to bear arms. But I don’t understand how young kids should be able to get guns.”
Menino is, of course, referring to gang violence. What this has to do with people who lawfully own guns isn’t clear. Most of the guns used in gang violence are obtained on the black market and all more gun control laws will do is guarantee that this black market flourishes thus leading to more gang violence and more violence in inner city neighborhoods as has been especially seen in Chicago.
Well, if Menino is right (and I have every reason to believe he is) then the Obama Administration is, in the words of former White House Chief of Staff and current Chicago Mayor Rahm Emmanuel, “You never want a serious crisis to go to waste and what I mean by that is that it is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”
So yes, the Obama Administration thinks it can do things concerning gun control it could not have done prior to the election.

As a 6th generation Bostonian with children, I would like to remind Misters Biden and Menino that the last time we had this conversation, the Redcoats marched out to Lexington&Concord; with instructions to seize weapons, munitions and gunpowder stores, confront and disarm Minutemen and Mass. Militia, there and on Bunker Hill. That went well, didn't it? Our 5th Suffolk House Rep. informs us that guns used by criminals are both legal stolen guns, unregistered, and "shared" to avoid convictions. He asked Menino to "occupy" his neighborhood and asked Governor Patrick to declare a state of emergency in his area, even martial law, to no avail. Meanwhile, we've experienced a precipitous drop in our black population, which means Menino is solving the problem through attrition. Know is Hitler disarming Jews in 1935, less known is 1915 hunting guns collected by Turks from Christians, 1916 all weapons, then they killed near 2 million Armenians.

In Newtown it was quite simple: the perp took his mother's rifles; he then shot his mother before driving to the elementary school....
Ergo, Congress should outlaw the sale of fire arms to mothers.

The fact that the Aurora shooter, the Arizona shooter, and the Connecticut shooter all have histories of mental illness should not lead us into defying the ACLU and making it easier to medicate violent psychotics as outpatients, of course (medicated, they are no more violent than mainstream folks). Guns, not psychosis, is the obvious problem here. Right.

Sorry for the incoming ordeal. With your Messiah's total control of the msm and his hold of the Senate, you're left with a House infected by an increasing number of spineless would be conservatives (but would they?) that remind me of our own House Frogland side. In Frogland we have a so called conservative party, the UMP (nicknamed "Une Merde de Plus" by our best humorist) that didn't move a finger when our gun rights were blatantly denied.
