The federal government has already gone over the spending cliff - to the tune of $16 trillion. Spending is the problem. Debt is the problem. Deficit is the problem. When Obama, Biden, Reid, and Pelosi say they want a "balanced" approach that includes "more revenue," they are reminding us that they want "more revenue" (higher taxes). And the only reason for higher taxes ("more revenue") is to support "more spending." We are already over the spending cliff. The solution is less spending and reduced cost of government. And "less spending" does not require "more revenue."

Steve Beren for President.

Folks,
We are simply witnessing the fruits of electing, and re-electing, someone with ZERO negotiating skills. If you recall, he totally reneged on a deal with Boehner a year and a half ago. It looks like we're witnessing this all over again. He compromises and at the last minute pulls the rug . Woodward wrote a book about obama's lack of presidential skills. There's a reason he's call 'The Amateur' by many.
Yet curiously, he seems eager to assume the position when negotiating with other countries.
It will be a long four years.

Bob my friend...it seems that President Obama has perfect negotiating skills. He's getting exactly what he wants.

This is the fruit of your brilliant tea party House members' folly. Just figuring this out, Jeffrey?

they may not be amused, but they won't blame ObaMao; they never have, and never will...

RCA, I guess I need to enlightened. How are the Tea Party-backed Congressmen responsible for the votes of the Rhino Senators. Hopefully, they'll show some moxy and reject this putrid compromise..

Man walks onto a bar and saddles up next to an attractive middle aged woman. After a few minutes of polite conversation, the man offers the woman a proposition. "I don't usually do this kind of thing, but I'm only here for a short time, so I'll be blunt. If you'd be willing to accompany me to my room, I'll give you $10,000. ". The woman agrees and off they go. In the elevator the man turns to the woman and asks her if she would consider taking $5000. Shocked by the request, the woman responds, "You creep! What kind of woman do you think I am?". The man quickly responds, "We've already established that, madam; now we're simply determining the price."
Such is the case with the GOP leadership...
RCV| 1.1.13 @ 11:11PM
Even Paul Ryan voted for the bill.

You will note genius, that posters here are disgusted with the Republicans. What part of this don't you get? have you ever uttered word one in disagreement with your Dear Leader?
RCV| 1.2.13 @ 7:05PM
You should be disgusted with the Republicans. They have fallen to a new low of ineffectiveness and disgrace.
