I usually don’t like to go on rumors, but when time is of the essence, you go with what you have. Here I explain why a fiscal cliff deal that lifts the spending cuts is worse than no deal at all.

Indeed. The House should pass a bill with the current tax levels (including the payroll tax 4% extension) and let the Dems explain why it was more important to tax the rich for 8 days worth of Government expense, than to extend the payroll taxes for the minimum wage workers.

GOP, go for the Nads!

It was inevitable once those tea party idiots in the House defeated Boehner's Plan B. I hope Jeffrey Lord is happy now.

Okay okay, you have a Jeffrey Lord thing going, but I doubt he bends the same way as you.

I agree with Quin's choice of the two alternatives, BUT the very best alternative would be to accompolish a GOVERNMENTAL SPENDING CUT ONLY outcome. The is absolutely no financial reasons available to give this POTUS and these Democrats another dime of taxpayers' hard-earned money in increased taxiation. Let their indigent/worthless/lazy/government supported/stupid welfare class [ie Democrats] GTH. With the multitude of governmental welfare duplicate programs now existing, this excrement needs to be substantially reduced. Throw in the ineptitude and uselessness of departments such as Interior, Energy, HUD, Education [and yes even Justice] and you have a ton of federal money to eliminate. Want to discuss $millions in foreign aid going to the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt etc [WTF are we financially supporting our enemies?]. No, there is no reason for additional revenues, and these domestic terrorists now in charge would only spend same on more welfare if given the chance. Why has there not been any discussion of DEDICATION OF ADDITIONAL TAX REVENUES TO PAYING DOWN THE DEFECIT/DEBT???????????

I also agree with Grover Norquest's assessment of the Democrats' using the futuristic non-expense of the ME war to count as their governmental expense reductions as akin to not including the cost of the War of 1812 also for that purpose. Additionally, after the stupidity of the American voters on 11/6/12 in re-electing this POTUS and thus allowing him to continue his total destruction of this nation for four more years, I'll now be in agreement with any/all conservatives who propose to sweep any/every Republican out of office who votes for any tax increase whatsoever. Since they can just say NO [as Nancy Reagan proclaimed], there is no reason for them to compromise with these Democrats by agreeing to raise taxes. Get rid of any of them who do so at the time of their re-election, and we'll truly have a TOSSING OF TEA INTO THE BOSTON HARBOR MOMENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

According to Fair and Balanced--the News Hysterical Station--Going over the cliff would be a disaster. However a very careful watching of the various people purporting to be reporters are actually Story Tellers. Creating a certain narrative that leads the viewer to believe that no matter what do not go over the cliff. Thus leaving the Republican Leadership with few options. This in essence is RINO NEWS . Here is what Fair and Balanced does not say: We are already over the cliff going down. So, until there are new leaders or a third party I have little patients for hearing about all of this BS about deals being made. My view if Obama wants to go over let him have his way then Republicans offer a tax cut bill and a spending cut bill and let Obama put out his bill.
Bottom line vote "present" on any Obama approved bill-let the economy be totally his economy.
