I just heard some sirens outside of my offie, and I figured it must be the end of the world finally coming. I’ve been to Chitzen Itza (sp?), and I was impressed that those Mayans were mighty smart people. So this must really be the end of the world as we know it…. but I feel fine.

I don't think the Mayans were that smart. Nov. 6 was the end of the world, and these guys missed it by several weeks.

Highly recommend Palenque, Mr. Hillyer; it's a considerably larger and varied site, surrounded by the jungle, with beautiful waterfalls, and it also has a great museum.
