Obama, the guy who's never won an election on his own merits will now have to count on Chicago-style voter fraud to win the election.
Yea, I have no doubt it's occurring on a massive scale at this moment.
The question is what are we gonna REALLY do about it?
The answer is bitch and moan on blog sites.
RCV| 11.6.12 @ 3:38PM
What's been going in the Republican run states of Ohio, Virginia and Florida to prevent and interfere with REAL voters trying to cast their ballots is the real problem, and the real disgrace.
You guys will have plenty of time after today to do your usual bitching and moaning about "voter fraud" and the "biased media", as you do every time you lose. And lose you will.

Rather than just regurgitating talking points--yes, I know, that's how you on the left do things--please explain to me how "real" voters, trying to cast their ballots, are being interfered with?
I would really and sincerely be willing to listen to you if you can come up with some sort of plausible explanation for your comments.
RCV| 11.6.12 @ 4:07PM
Let's start with Florida, where the GOP legislature first cut down the number of early voting days. The, Governor Scott made the decision to only open a very limited number of polling stations, resulting in lines exceeding five and six hours in some places, with droves of discouraged voters turning away in disgust. In Ohio, under direction of Republican election officials, registrars will no longer fill in the informational top of the ballot for early and absentee voters as in the past. Any error a voter makes in filling in the information invalidates the vote.
All of these efforts, and many similar, have one purpose and one purpose only -- to prevent as many early voters - heavily Democratic - from having their votes counted.
If you want to talk about "talking points" with no real substance - "voter fraud" would be the place to start.

Really?
*Cutting back on early voting days. Is that REALLY interfering with and preventing "real" voters from casting their ballots? Several early voting sites in my area had 5-6 hour long waits. Most of those people in line would not believe they were being "interfered" with or being "prevented" from voting. Bye the way, early voting is a recent phenomenon.
* Registrars not filling in information at the tops of ballots. Again, really? Is that REALLY "interfering" with and "preventing" people from voting? ...really? It sounds like your typical bureaucratic process change and nothing more.
This is weak stuff. Really weak tea. Not exactly poll taxing, now is it?

Cor: By the way...
Paul McGrath| 11.6.12 @ 5:55PM
No kidding, Bob, this is really weak stuff. In fact pathetic. Why should there be early voting days to begin with? And if the line is long, well, for Christ's sake, vote on election day. Is that so effing hard?
And, oh no! They have to fill out their own form? Unbelievable, he comes up with this.
If you have to fill out their form and baby them into the voting booth, you may as well tell them how to vote, which, when you think about it, is really what he wants.

The column is not great at all. It claims that massive amounts of in-person voter fraud takes place without citing even one source that backs that claim. In addition, his claim that states are prosecuting thousands of cases of voter fraud is likewise baloney. Making up stuff does not = a great column Quin.
