Obama Re-Elected

With Barack Obama having won Iowa and Oregon, he has now been re-elected President.

They’ve killed Mitt Romney.

The good news is that he will only be President for four more years.

The bad news is that he will be President for four more years.

Can we stop nominating liberals and moderates now? At least if you are going to lose do it with a true conservative. Now can the Republican Congress get a back bone and vote down all spending proposals.

Bob Grant| 11.6.12 @ 11:35PM

Time to quit blaming the candidates.

Blame the people!!

Obama ran a horrible campaign. He seemed to phone it in at times.

Ronald Reagan would not have beaten obama.

The country is officially now Center-Left. There's no two ways about it.

How a Center-Left America will look? We might not have it for long before it crumbles.

JeffP| 11.6.12 @ 11:36PM

You aren't thinking clearly. This is Obama's (and the socialist agenda's) second win in a row. Republican politicians are politicians first, Republicans second (and conservatives rarely). I'm sure Boehner can read the election results as well as we can. The House will "cooperate" with Obama this time given his propensity to ignore them and do what he wants through EO.

Mark my words: the GOP is going the way of the Whig party.

Teflon93 | 11.7.12 @ 12:11AM

I've said that before and I'll say this again:

Time for the Tea Party to rise.

RCV| 11.7.12 @ 3:38PM

The tea party just got its butt kicked.

Bob K| 11.6.12 @ 11:25PM

Now we can look for a movement led by Axelrod to repeal the 22nd Amendment.

Occam's Tool| 11.6.12 @ 11:26PM

RCV: contact Ken about details for receiving your $50.00 gift certificate, if you wish. I am no longer going to post.

I despair for my country, and for Israel. Jack in Wi. you will get your wish: Israel will be destroyed within the next four years, and you voted for Romney, to boot.

Farewell.

Curtis Rasmussen| 11.6.12 @ 11:35PM

Don't give up. That's what the trolls want.

Apparently, a majority of the country has lost its way. Now we hve to stop Obama from destroying what remains.

Kingofthenet| 11.6.12 @ 11:45PM

Stop being a Drama Queen, suck it up, you lost...brush yourself off and get back in the game, just think about the next Supreme Court picks...it will be delirious!

JmsA| 11.6.12 @ 11:54PM

Good Luck, OT.

RCV| 11.7.12 @ 12:15AM

I will never contact Ken about anything. Send my $50 to Yad Vashem or the Holocaust Museum.

Good luck to you fine, sir. I have every confidence that our Republic will be fine and that Israel will thrive and prosper.

DRed| 11.7.12 @ 2:50AM

Occam, what happened to the 310 electoral votes Mitt was going to get? And your doomsword? Where'd that go? I thought you were a genius-too bad you didn't know how to read all the polls.

My advice to you tomorrow would be to eat that lemon meringue pie anyhow. Life is too short to get so upset about politics, especially when the two candidates aren't all that different.

RCV| 11.7.12 @ 6:10PM

I have always been very fond of Occam and will miss him if he indeed stops blogging here. But I almost think a respite would be good for him. He started out blogging as the smart, erudite and perceptive guy I'm sure he is. But hanging around with low lifes like TLP and his ilk -- racist, foul-mouthed, theologically nuts -- has taken him down a path that wasn't good for him and his outlook on life. He'll be fine and I hope he'll be back again soon. He's a good guy.

aware| 11.7.12 @ 6:18AM

OT, I tried to tell you but was only abused for my trouble. Even called a "Leftist" by the neocon scum posting here.

There will be NO political solution to avoid the terrible day of reckoning coming down the tracks like a runaway train. We as a nation are like a family sitting in the floor of a living room of a house foreclosed on, with the marshals at the door to evict us, looking at brochures of new Mercedes and believing we still can afford it.

Romney winning would not have changed this one iota.

Teflon93 | 11.7.12 @ 7:02AM

Sadly, no. You can't beat something with nothing.

Dai Alanye | 11.6.12 @ 11:33PM

I cannot quite believe there are enough fools in America to elect an obviously failed president, but there we are. Besides questioning the selection of Mitt, let's give a modicum of credit to Chris Christie as a last minute Obama helper, and to Gary Johnson, Virgil Goode, Ron Paul and similar egomaniacs.

Sean| 11.6.12 @ 11:48PM

So you want to unseat Ron Paul delegates and throw them out of the convention and then expect their help to elect a liberal?

Mike in N.C.| 11.6.12 @ 11:49PM

Continue to say "f*ck you" to Blacks, to Hispanics, to women and to gays and you will continue to lose. What most American understand is that the President is not a Muslim, he is not a Marxist and he will not eat your family dog. You people have to reconnect with reality.

Bob Grant| 11.6.12 @ 11:55PM

Mike,

You won. You can put the strawmen away.

Kingofthenet| 11.7.12 @ 12:00AM

Mike if this makes the NeoCons Rethink their Strategy, to stop being bullies and be decent human beings, this will be a positive...in the meanwhile I will enjoy the bloodletting and reprisals.

Bob Grant| 11.7.12 @ 12:12AM

Says the guy who makes racist Asian comments.
Despicable Hypocrite.

Kingofthenet| 11.7.12 @ 12:32AM

My girlfriend is Chinese, seriously she looks like Michelle Malkin, but bigger nipples...

Teflon93 | 11.7.12 @ 12:13AM

Tell that to all the Islamofascists and Communists who endorsed Your Guy.

JD| 11.7.12 @ 12:15AM

Mike, how can you live with yourself, posting things like that?

Yours is the party of the almighty Straw Man. Exit polls showed one Obama voter after another citing as rationale for his vote his belief in something that is not true.

You post nothing but straw men in arguing that we abuse straw men, and you don't even realize your audacity.

handsoff| 11.8.12 @ 8:00PM

Amazing your perceptions. You must be looking in the mirror to see such profanity, vulgarity, racism. I agree that BO is not a real Muslim, just a sympathizer. As for Marxism, if you will stop looking at yourself in the mirror for long enough to read the books he allegedly wrote and made 10mill on, see the Marxists he admires and emulates (his words), the communist who mentored him (his words), the people he surrounds himself with, you might at least suspect that he is more Marxist than anything else. It is quite clear that communism/anti-americanism/socialism/marxism have been and continue to be, the major influences in his life.

Teflon93 | 11.7.12 @ 12:10AM

Thus dies the meme that the RINO wins. Again.

Given Romney looks to have won independents and still lost, where do you suppose he came up short? Might it have been the base, as it was with John McCain?

Meanwhile Obama fired up his base, lost independents, and won reelection.

Mike in N.C.| 11.7.12 @ 12:22AM

Akins, Mourdock, Brewer, Arpaio, Limbaugh. The names of any of these straw men ring a bell?

geronl| 11.7.12 @ 4:10AM

Really. Run a RINO for President and if he loses, blame others. Liberal tactics.

Teflon93 | 11.7.12 @ 7:06AM

Gee, I forgot to send my congratulations to Senator Brown. And Senator McMahon.

Bob Grant| 11.7.12 @ 12:28AM

Well,

Four more years of this insufferable prick. You thought he was obnoxious before, heh, well YOU AIN'T SEEN NOTHING YET!!

He's been a miserable failure as president, ran a horrible campaign, and performed poorly in the debates....yet....yet.....he wins re-election rather comfortably!!

He has learned nothing from his numerous failures because he's paid no price for his failures!!

Behghazi? yea, right. That will be hidden under the rug before daylight.

The man fails....and is rewarded!!

Only in America circa 2012!

Oh get ready for a new and improved Insufferable One!

It will make you not watch TV Ever again!!

I suggest taking up reading or becoming Amish.

America, it was nice knowing ya!

Kingofthenet| 11.7.12 @ 12:40AM

I just wish you were the REAL Bob Grant, I listened to that insufferable prick for 30+ years on the radio in NYC, he was a racist bastard, i hope you aren't.

RCV| 11.7.12 @ 1:32AM

It's clear that the people who have learned nothing from this election are folks like you, Bob. It's little wonder the American people react they way they do to such sanctimonious rantings and disparagement of our country and it's people.

DRed| 11.7.12 @ 2:39AM

The really sad thing is that the Republican party isn't going to learn any lessons from this. Obama was very vulnerable, but I would be shocked if you people don't double down on the stupid.

mike 3/505| 11.7.12 @ 2:51AM

"The really sad thing is that the Republican party isn't going to learn any lessons from this"

What? How to pander to fully funded graduate students who bitch about not being to have someone else forced to pay for their contraception? How to pander to perverts who cannot leave well enough alone and want to foist their aberrant lifestyle on normal human beings? Pander to folks who believe it is just peachy to have open borders and thus help depress the labor market?

Bottom line....there appears to be just shy of 51 percent of the American populace who would rather vote for a liberal arts major, community organizer with no...repeat n o proven track record of success, over a man, who although not my first choice, was clearly superior to the inept, thug in the White House.

My Dad says a man is known by the company he keeps. I look at the Obama crowds...I look at his inner circle and it is evident, this is NOT a man I would trust in anything that was important to me.

DRed| 11.7.12 @ 3:14AM

And this proves my point perfectly. Keep denigrating women, hispanics, gay people, the poor, the scientifically literate and see where that gets you, chumps. Obama was a really weak incumbent, and you just got a thorough dubbing. I have many problems with Obama and the Democratic party at large, but the American people aren't buying your failed policies any more. Bottom line: change your approach or get ready for a long period of total irrelevance.

geronl| 11.7.12 @ 4:08AM

What a fool. Denigrating women? Did you not see Monical Lewinsky? Sandra Fluke? The 'first time" ad? The left has denigrated women!! You are a moron of the highest order if you believe any of that.

The poor? Why? Because we want to stop making millions more people poor? Look around, liberal policies are causing poverty!

You are a moron. Liberals deny science everytime they say a baby in the womb is not a living human being. Liberals deny science every time they pretend someone can change their sex with an operation. Liberals deny science everytime they scream climate change and blame gas.

mike 3/505| 11.7.12 @ 7:29AM

thanx for the backup...we're gonna need each other more than ever in the hard years ahead.

RCV| 11.7.12 @ 6:14PM

You're right, DRed, these guys will never learn. I do feel sorry for the dwindling number of intelligent, thoughful Republicans who look at this crowd and wonder, "How did we ever let them get so much influence in what used to be the party of Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt, Everett Dirksen, Jacob Javits, Bill Scranton, Edward Brooke, Henry Cabot Lodge, George Romney, Mark Hatfield, Dwight Eisenhower, Marget Chase Smith, John Lindsey, etc. etc.?"

handsoff| 11.8.12 @ 8:12PM

Teddy Roosevelt was not a conservative, he was one of the original socialists, though not called that then.
I wonder how anybody fell for the pap and dung that you spew so thoughtlessly? I think, I know that there is not a single Dem, at least of prominence in congress or ex congress, with intelligence, rationality or thought, morals, character etc.
ie. Harry Reid, Pelosi, Rangel,Dodd,Frank, Boxer, Waxmen, Weiner, Wasserman-Schultz et al.

handsoff| 11.8.12 @ 8:13PM

forgot Degette, the queen of stupidity along with a host of others.

handsoff| 11.8.12 @ 8:39PM

Others have challenged the "denigration" stupidity you wrote, but I will challenge one in particular -"scientifically literate". I am poor, female, hispanic not gay and scientifically literate, at least I read science journals, have a lot of scientific training as well as legal and medical & am conservative. I will , oppose, criticize the EPA, FDA, Gore, AMA, HHS, USDA & all the psuedo science rampant in the gov & the so-called "scientific" community . There are no real scientists in any gov capacity. The real ones get pressured or bribed with grants to skew results or go elsewhere & are denigrated/condemned/marginalized by bureaucrats. It isn't denigration to challenge, oppose or criticize Gore or the climate change junkies; their "science" is flawed . There is just as much evidence, on the other side. Also, the EPA & FDA have no "scientists" that have not been compromised by Big Pharma and/or Big Agri.
Rep policies have not failed. They were put in practice fully under Reagan and they worked. Bush tax cuts resulted in an increase in tax revenue of over 30% each year from 2006-2009. (The statistics posted by the IRS which I read in 2010, have been pulled from the website and no new ones could I find).
BO's "policies" have failed-except for pandering to the unions-he strengthened unions and crushed the rest of us consequently-yet he got re elected.Seems it is more the propaganda thru Pub ed & lies thru MSM than repub failed policies that have not been in effect for years.

vigilant| 11.7.12 @ 3:21AM

The price of freedom is eternal vigilance, but instead, we became complacent. We turned our schools into indoctrination centers, our churches into entertainment venues. We gutted the pillars of society--marriage, family, the military. We mocked the concept of nationalism in favor of one-worldism. Cosmos diabolicus smells victory, but God is not mocked. Even a few who stand strong can be the salt that preserves a nation. Now is not the time to wring hands in despair and roll over. Stand still and watch the Lord fight for you. And I'm still standing. Hope you are, too. We need the courage and resolution of all of us, now more than ever. Semper fi!

Aaron Investigates | 11.7.12 @ 3:51AM

Face it. The Left won. Conservatives need to realize that the final outcome is all that matters.

Doesn't matter if they cheated. lied, engaged in voter fraud, sold out the country, are in the process of bringing back the Dark Ages....they won..that's it. Now what are we going to do about it?

People do not vote for American values anymore..logic will not sway them. It's all about in your face and winning now..that's it.

geronl| 11.7.12 @ 4:04AM

I think he will probably be President for life. Congress is now irrelevant.

Pecos Pete| 11.7.12 @ 5:23AM

The 2012 election is a disappointment for supporters of the free enterprise system and for those who believe in freedom. King O was reelected with a small margin, not a mandate. The Senate remains in the hands of Harry Reid. The House remains Republican.

Nothing has really changed. Legislative stalemate. Gridlock.

Thus, King O and his administration will continue overloading the economy with Executive Orders and non legislated regulations. Unemployment will increase. Energy costs will increase dramatically, and rationing will be instituted. Food costs will rise dramatically. A recession followed by a depression will be caused by King O’s central planning and Marxist policies.

ObamaCare, the most damaging law ever to come from the federal government, will be challenged with more lawsuits, many of which will reach the Supreme Court. If the Supreme Court continues to uphold ObamaCare we will end up with single payer insurance ... provided by the federal government ... and our health care system will disintegrate.

The nation's fiscal condition is about to become catastrophic with trillion dollar deficits continuing for years to come. The Senate will not pass a budget. The Federal Reserve will continue to print money eventually causing hyperinflation. Sequestration will happen. Higher taxes will happen. Congress will continue to increase the national debt limit, which means that there is no cap on the debt.

Pecos Pete| 11.7.12 @ 5:23AM

Our Armed Forces will be dramatically reduced in size and capability with a corresponding loss of morale by our volunteers. Enemies of the USA will grow in strength and will attack with success both here and abroad.

Immigration will continue to be a festering wound. “Entitlement” programs will not be revised continuing to add to the national debt.

There will be appointments to the Supreme Court. The Court will become "progressive" and we can expect significant decisions that will reduce freedom, including anti-gun and anti-Christian regulations.

There will be so much damage and not enough space here to list more than a few events. But, I'll remind everyone of the coming entertainment: e.g., the House will be investigating Benghazi, Fast and Furious, the massive theft of taxpayer money by friends of King O, and Hillary will resign as Secretary of State. The King and Queen will continue to play golf, enjoy rich travel and parties with the wealthy. The poor will become poorer. Chicago will continue to be a killing ground. Lots of people … like me … in recognition of the coming disaster, will do a John Galt.

RCV| 11.7.12 @ 3:40PM

Adios.

handsoff| 11.8.12 @ 7:51PM

I agree with you but want to quibble with calling O*care "health care"& current system "health care". Neither has nothing to do with health. It is NOT insurance. Only has to do with control & bad medicine. I won't take FDA approved poisons, nor will I see an AMA doc. Examine a medical school textbook & see primarily advertising for drugs. Try Kaiser sometime-give them a symptom and they look up in a table for the drug to treat the symptom. Med Ins is not ins but is prepaid services determined by bureaucrats. I had a doctor tell me that he could not spend more than 10 minutes on me because of his contract w/ ins co&could; not treat my condition wanything but an ins approved FDA drug. I fired him& ins co. I selfins went to doc who diagnosed me I took the damn drug, I got a Chronic condition which was a side effect (not disclosed to me) of the drug, and the diagnosis was wrong. It was a bad tooth, not a salivary gland infection. Now I'm stuck with Medicare, which I am illegally saddled with because of Clinton's direction to HHS tying Med to SS thru POMS which does not per SCOTUS have the force of law. I am part of a lawsuit before SCOTUS to try to opt out of Med part A w/o losing SS. I cannot now obtain any ins to replace med-none offered, and all require me to have Med a&b before supplementing w/additional. Medical care was cheap before ins became mandatory & drugs caused many problems &the; FDA created its conspiracy with drug cos & we became a drugged country.
