The Media Research Center’s Brent Bozell has lacerated the mainstream media for deliberately spiking the Benghazi story.

The handling of this story by the mainstreamers has been atrocious. A willful, deliberate abdication of journalistic duty in order to preserve the presidential hide. Precisely because of Brent’s work, the dam blocking mainstream investigation is cracking slightly — with David Ignatius of the Washington Post and Sheryl Atkinson of CBS. But no one can hold a candle to Fox’s relentless Catherine Herridge and Jennifer Griffin. These reporters are indefatigable.

No one can say these things better than Brent. Here is his statement:

The liberal “news” media’s refusal to cover this story exposes how corrupt they have become. Four Americans died in Libya in a coordinated terrorist attack on the anniversary of 9/11. The Obama Administration has been caught in a maze of falsehoods. This reeks of a cover-up. This scandal could and would derail the Obama re-election efforts. ABC, CBS, NBC, The Washington Post, and the New York Times are so vested in the re-election of Barack Obama that they are deliberately spiking this huge story. It’s sickening.

How big is this story? Bigger than Watergate. No one was killed in that burglary, and no one covered up the truth about the deaths of four brave Americans.

Now there are rumblings that one or more of these so-called news networks have emails from the National Security Advisor’s office telling a counter-terrorism unit to stand down. If that’s true, they must tell the American people what they know, and how long they’ve known it. And if it isn’t true, then the networks need to say so. Their silence is deafening.

The Obama administration’s cover-up of their deceitful response to the Benghazi terrorist attack is without a doubt the biggest political news story of 2012. The American people have a right to know what really happened before they cast their ballots on Election Day.

If ABC, CBS, NBC, The Washington Post, and the New York Times refuse to ask the tough questions, then they no longer serve any purpose. And if they’re sitting on evidence to help Obama win re-election, they’re as guilty in this cover-up as is the administration.

Note Brent’s words well. This is “bigger than Watergate.”

This will continue, election or no, Romney or Obama.

Hopefully a raft load of Obama people and Obama, himself. will be prosecuted for treason after the election. That is at least of what they deserve.

Again, everyone should read Frank Gaffney's editorials on this for the truth. As to the MSM, they are PROSTITUTES or worse!!!!!!!!!!

Butch| 11.2.12 @ 2:19PM

Prostitutes work for money; the MSM are more like bimbos giving it away for nothing.

geronl| 11.2.12 @ 2:39PM

As far as we know anyway

Oldefarte| 11.2.12 @ 9:25PM

No they are PROSTITUTES because they DO work for money....the money that their employer/bosses pay them in salary/benefits with is fund by the millions of newspaper subscribers, advertisers etc who are their PIMPS. Anyone wishing to discard their fuzzy fezs, cashmere double-brested suits and alligator shoes as such should contact their hometown newspaper and immediately cancel their subscription!!!!!!!!!!!

What have you got against prostitutes, Oldefarte? These people have been entrusted with a sacred duty: reporting the truth, and have willfully and miserably failed to do it.

Simon Templar| 11.2.12 @ 1:58PM

Why? Why should this be? They have already got away with Fast and Furious and now have buried this gigantic scandal to the point it is having no effect on the election. Wishful conservative thinking again?

Boner is going to do nothing. They will make some deals for a few crumbs behind close doors with the Fraud when they get back and it will go away.

I have a great deal of respect for you but I think it is time to take a sober up pill and think about developing new strategies and rethink the fight.
The corruption of this government on both sides and the corruption of most of it institutions such as the media has reached a fatal and critical level that threatens the functioning and continued life of this Republic. Wake up to this fact before it is too late. Editorial columns and letters from impotent congressional leaders are not going to cut it anymore.

Joe Biden, at a campaign event today said, "There's never been a day in the last four years I've been proud to be his vice president."

Remember what he said to Ryan---"I always say what I mean."

1 smoker's former polysubstance user's heart beat away, folks.

Oldefarte| 11.2.12 @ 9:27PM

Yeah if they win on Tuesday, expect him to resemble Jack Nicholson [with ax in hand at the door] saying """""I'M BAAAACK"""""!!!!!

Occam's Tool| 11.2.12 @ 2:40PM

Less like Prostitutes, More Like Child Molesters.

My experience with Journalists, which has been more extensive than I would like it to be, has taught me this: they are vermin; whose only redeeming quality is reporting the truth. When they don't do this, they are less than worthless.

Oldefarte| 11.2.12 @ 9:30PM

At least prostitutes or child molesters are usually honest about their human failings [sadly MSM reporters are not]!!!!!!!!

Occam's Tool| 11.2.12 @ 2:43PM

Romney won 85% of the 80,000 American voters voting from Israel.

Oldefarte| 11.2.12 @ 9:34PM

Alright! Now you're talking! Maybe if we can their US Jewish friends/relatives to come around from their 2008 support of 80% for Obama we might be on the right path? [hell if the reported slight leanings of support from the dumbarses in the religion of my heritage Catholic Church are true, then maybe American Jews will be voting for R/R on Tuesday]!!!!!

Artman| 11.2.12 @ 4:44PM

I wonder how the current mainstream press would have handled the Alamo if Obama had been president?
