On Sunday morning on my radio show, I did a “lightning round”
segment in which I asked callers to tell me in 30 seconds what
their major issue in the election was and which candidate they were
therefore voting for, and I asked a few callers follow-up questions
(also giving them 30 seconds to answer those.)
I had three calls in a row (plus probably others whom I didn’t
ask about 2008) from people who are voting for Mitt Romney but who
voted for Barack Obama in 2008. Among these people (including one
who self-identified as “a gay guy”) the overarching issues were the
economy and a broader dissatisfaction with his (lack of)
leadership.
I simply do not see Obama winning Colorado. And despite current
polls I continue to believe that Romney will win Ohio and/or
Wisconsin and win the election.
Seriously, who beside a union leader or radical leftist or
radical feminist or college student, the combination of which
represents a tiny percentage of the electorate, will look at his or
her ballot and see “Barack Obama” and say “I want to do that
again”?
In short, I think the polls are, to use a George W. Bush-ism,
misunderestimating the turnout of Republicans and dissatisfied
Independents — and misoverestimating turnout among Democrats.
You can listen to the hour (my show was only an hour because of
the Broncos game)
here. It’s actually only about 40 minutes without the news and
ads. The topic I’m describing here starts 11 minutes in.

Ross: Try your question in Santa Fe, NM and you'd find that a majority of callers support Obama. The Santa Fe newspaper, the New Mexican, endorsed Obama and that newspaper is totally opposed to Voter ID, and supports virtually all progressive initiatives. Reading the letters to the editor will cause significant heartburn.
Further, in a poll between Oct. 23-25 by Research and Polling Inc. published by the Albuquerque Journal Obama is at 50%, Romney at 41% with Gary Johnson (former governor) at 5%. Very sad for a state that has contributed so many patriots over centuries. This is amazing considering that, if reelected, Obama's policies will impoverish the state by his planned massive reduction in defense spending and his continued attack on fossil fuel production and electric generation.
Some people are simply stuck on stupid.

Oh, how about black people?

Ross, do you have your radio show app. for Android? That's probably the only way I can get to it in real time from PA.
Cobalt| 10.29.12 @ 9:01AM
If you know what station Kaminsky's show is broadcast on, you might find that station on iHeartRadio or TuneIn Radio. Both are free apps for Android.
Cobalt| 10.29.12 @ 9:15AM
Actually, iHeartRadio offers 850 KOA NEWS RADIO.
If you use AT&T, you can find the iHeartRadio app for free, within the Play Store app.

Abdullah,
As Cobalt noted, my show is available on iHeartRadio.
However, between the Broncos schedule and my travel (don't tell TLP), I only have one Sunday show between now and mid-January.
I will be guest-hosting for some of the bigger weekday shows before than and will post blog notes in advance of those if you're interested.
