Must Viewing

In an excellent short video just out from the Catholic News Service, Philadelphia Archbishop Charles J. Chaput offers some very timely and perceptive thoughts on Catholics, Democrats, Republicans — and abortion.

In short, without Catholic voter accommodation to abortion on demand, the Democrat Party would have been thwarted in its leftward march. In other words, allegiance to the Democrat Party and its liberal agenda took precedence over their Catholic conscience.

At least some Catholics recognize the cognitive dissonance such voters manifest. But is it too little, too late?

The Joe Bidens of America practice subterfuge when they state that their personal beliefs must "not be imposed on others" when it is obvious to any sentient being that someone's beliefs are going to be imposed, if only tacitly, in our law-making. The Joe Biden's merely give cover to the secularists to impose their anti-Christian worldview on the entire country. The moral and religious people necessary to our form of government are consistently maligned and derided by our elites in media, academia, and government, thanks to the Joe Biden's who FEIGN some form of Christian sentiment, when in reality the only true allegiance of these manipulators is to their own quest for power. We see right through you, Joe, and we can smell the stink of your hypocrisy as far away as Arizona.

the Catholic Church has been more concerned with being liked than with being faithful, and it may actually be too little, too late; this election will be revealing, one way or the other...the Catholic Church stands at a (no pun intended) crossroads; will it go down the U/U path of 'it's all good', or will it be faithful to the teachings of Christ?

We had some very weak Catholic politicians who sold out to remain in the Dem party and receive the contributions and votes of the abortin wing of the Dem party.

The worst was Mario Cuomo, followed by Ted Kennedy, Geraldine Ferraro, Nancy Pelosi, Joe Biden, and others. Cuomo perfected the Clintonian parsing phrase that "I am personally opposed but will impose my views on others." What bull, they impose their views on us through legislation every day.

The only national politician with any character was Pa Governor Bob Casey. Bubba and Mrs Bubba prevented Casey from speaking at the 92 convention because of Casey's pro life views.

Even Algore and Jesse Jackson were pro life early in theri careers but then made the career advancing move to pro abortion to remain Dems.

Now that Paul Ryan "came out" for gays in the military, did he say anything about that?

Yeah, priest, you will not be able to count on Republicans because you left them standing alone on this issue for nearly 40 years and your flock followed the demoncrats down the whole all that time. You will do it again this election. You have no control or influence over your flocks, Obama knows this....

Yes, darcy..it is too late, 38 million babies too late.
