Late Tuesday evening, Fox News is
reporting that they have acquired copies of e-mails sent from
the US consulate in Benghazi, Libya during the assault which killed
Ambassador Christoper Stevens and three other Americans.
The e-mails, which arrived in the United States on the afternoon
of September 11th are thought to have been received by 300-400
administration officials, primarily within the national security
chain of command.
They are the most damning evidence to date that the obviously
false story about a demonstration in response to a video was known
to be a lie from the first time it was uttered by any
administration official.
As Ambassador John Bolton said on Tuesday evening, if the video
story is an attempt to cover something up, it is a truly stupid
cover-up since it is impossible that the existence of these e-mails
would not become known.
The interesting question at this hour is whether any other major
news outlet, whether print or broadcast, will pick up the story
which could (and should) be the coup de grâce to this incompetent
and dangerous administration’ reelection ambitions.
[UPDATE: As of Wednesday morning, ABC News, CBS News, and CNN
have the story on their web sites, although ABC’s lead story is
about Richard Mourdock’s rape comments, the subject of my other
AmSpec
blog entry last night. NBC News, which has become little more
than the propaganda arm of the Obama administration, does not have
the story, or at least not on their main page, as of 9 AM Eastern
on Wednesday.]
From the Fox story:
The third email came at 6:07 p.m. ET and was sent to a different
email list but still includes the White House Situation Room
address and a subject line of “Update 2: Ansar al-Sharia Claims
Responsibility for Benghazi Attack (SBU).”
“Embassy Tripoli reports the group claimed responsibility on
Facebook and Twitter and has called for an attack on Embassy
Tripoli,” the email reads.

I think that everyone with brain cells has now figured out what happened there. The only questions remaining are: [1] Was there intelligence reports before the attack indicating its possibility? and [2] Who avoided their responsibility to either provide adequate security or to instead transfer these people out of that country?????????

Kinda makes you wish Romney had been less "presidential" last night and brought up that whole Benghazi thing. It would sure resonate about now.
Oldefarte| 10.24.12 @ 4:32PM
It's not up to Romney to declare the obvious. It's instead up to the American people to get their heads out of their ar**es and to recognize/know the truth. Whether or not Romney shouted the truth, the fact remains that everyone should KNOW THE TRUTH anyway [and they should act on that truth on 11/6/12]!!!!!!!

I wonder if now that Ansar-Al-Sharia has taken credit, will Obama and Holder have their probation violated, too?
Oldefarte| 10.24.12 @ 4:33PM
I only hope and pray that the American people/voters will send BOTH OF THEM TO HELL AND A HANDBASKET on 11/6/12!!!!!

I was watching Fox News and saw the report. This is not even up on Drudge Report yet. I wonder if they are saving it for the morning headlines?
My second question will be how much of this will be covered in the media tomorrow or will it be ignored?
Lastly, will this be the October surprise?
JD| 10.24.12 @ 1:35AM
No, it won't be a big deal, because the Leftist media still exists.
They will say that these e-mails were hardly authoritative on the subject, that little changes, that Obama did call it a terrorist attack (Candy Crowley-style), and that Romney's the devil for politicizing this and clinging to old news.

Exactly.
If a tree falls in the woods and nobody hears it?
I think that pretty much sums it up.
Ross, did you go back to last Thursday's Story about Tunisia? 240 Hits, I think. And, at the end, a lotta guys were ripping you a new one.
I wrote down their names for you.
Go check it out.
