Liberals are lambasting Mitt Romney over his “binders full of women” quip in the second presidential debate earlier this week.

But if that’s the worst thing Romney said during the debate and the best liberals have to offer then I think Romney is doing pretty damn good.

I still don't understand what's even wrong with that quote.

The worst implication I've heard from the Left is "he shouldn't have to go out asking for help finding qualified women."

Not only is it not his fault that none presented themselves, but that also flies in the face of affirmative action, which is nothing more than the requirement to go out of your way looking for minorities! How can the party of AA bash its practice!

Especially after affirmative action got their president elected.

The fact the "binders" remark is allegedly so hilarious just shows that the lefties have no sense of humor. From a conservative point of view, it's regrettable that Romney felt the need to pander on the issue, but c'est la guerre.

Big Bird and binders full of women are not what we should be talking about, but jobs and prosperity.
With great determination, these distractions are floated out there, in desperation.
The war on women is from Obama,as they need jobs and America is failing. The jobs figure?
California conveniently failed to hand in their unemployment report.

I think that if he made the comment concerning today, the complaints would be true. But a few years make a big difference in these things.

P.S. Given the incompetence of Hilary, et. al., Obama would do well asking Mitt to lend him those binders.

By the way. Sandra Fluke, definately not in a binder, was campaigning to a raucous crowd of "about" 10 people at the (get this) Sak N Save in Reno.

10 people turn out to hear an ObaMao surrogate-in a city of 225,000

at the same time, 5,500 turn out to hear Matt Romney, one of Mitt's sons, in Grundy, VA-a town of 1100

I agree with JD. I don't get what the fuss is about. Isn't that just an anachronism? Nowadays maybe someone would just say "pulled up a folder of resumes." Isn't that what they all want? At the same time, I do worry about Romney's commitment to the truly important women's issue of our time--stopping abortions. He's on record saying they should be "safe and legal." That breaks my trust in him.

Binders...our embassies and consulates around the world have been attacked, our Libyan Ambassador and 3 others killed in Benghazi, our national debt has exploded, we've had 4 straight years of trillion dollar deficits and no budgets, tens of millions of Americans have no jobs, we've hit a record number of Americans on food stamps...and the Administration is focusing on...BINDERS?????
