Yeah, this was just like McCain's performance. Pretty good.
Which means one of two things.
We either elect the speechwriter.
Or the Establishment has this thing rigged from the start.
After all how much difference is there between a big govt. liberal and a big govt. conservative?
Not much, Virginia.

I was impressed with Romney's comedic talk. The lines and the delivery were very good. I wonder if Dennis Miller helped write it. I would not be surprised that a skilled comedy writer was involved. Mr. Romney is an able man, comfortable with himself and no doubt feeling more confident about November 6. Mr. Obama, on the other hand ...

Comedy is one thing, but honestly I simply cannot find any humor in what has occurred over the last four years at the hands of these domestic terrorists. The culmination can be seen perhaps in this Benghazi situation, and the handling of it was deplorable. Our country is deeply hurting from their politics and the sooner we defeat them, the better

The following is one of many reasons why I find no humor in what has been occurring for the last four years:

For those unwilling to watch a 10-minute video:
"Some people wonder how we prepare for a debate. I start by refraining from alcohol for 65 years..."
"In the spirit of Sesame Street, tonight's speech by the president was brought to you by the letter O and the number 16 trillion."
"Usually when I get invited to a dinner like this, it's just to be the designated driver."
"Campaigning involves a lot of wardrobe changes... it's nice to finally be here wearing what Ann and I wear around the house."
JD| 10.20.12 @ 1:54PM
And the best of all, "I wish the president had brought Joe Biden with him. He'll laugh at anything."

If Romney had Dennis Miller as a speech writer that night it was a brilliant move. He cracked the jokes with just the right timing and emphasis, and there was truth behind much of the humor. That's Dennis Miller. For such a gala evening it was perfect. And when he spoke seriously a few times, his words were very penetrating. If you had ears to hear, that is.

Start off by having a willingness to laugh at yourself, and go from there. I am really warming up to Mitt.
It will be nice to have a grown up in the White House.
