I suspect Joe Biden will do better in his debate with Paul Ryan
than President Obama did with Mitt Romney.
But that’s not saying much, is it?
At least Biden will go at it with gusto. Yet let’s keep in mind
Biden’s propensity to speak forcefully and be completely wrong.
During his debate with Sarah Palin in 2008, Biden said we and
the French “kicked Hezbollah of
Lebanon” which must have come as news on the street of
Beirut.
Biden will do his best to demagogue the debate but I doubt Ryan
will let him. Ryan, of course, will not interrupt Biden while he is
in the midst of making one of his world famous gaffes.

I'm going to disagree. I think this debate will be even more devastating than Romney/Obama, because Biden is a pompous ill-informed buffoon.
Give me a week with a thousand page briefing book and the RAZOR could rip him a new one, and I'm not the policy wonk Ryan is. Ryan may just be the most intellectually gifted member of the Legislative branch since Moynihan (excepting the scientific firepower of the good Doctor from Tennessee, Dr. Frist---I am talking about non-hard science trained MOCs).
Mr. Biden has more and more come to resemble a man in the middle stages of neurosyphilis lately. I expect that this fight will start like the Archie (biden) Moore versus Rocky (ryan) Marciano fight. Archie may get in a quick blow in the early going (although Moore was a genius in his field and Biden is most certainly not), but eventually, as Ryan piles up the facts, he will find that, like Sisyphus, he simply cannot roll back this Rock.
Ryan will destroy Biden horribly and painfully.

I feel really bad for Ross Kaminsky right now

At this point I actually feel sorry for Paul Ryan. This is a vicious beating.

Only in your fevered mind. Biden is just showing everyone what bore he is, interupting and screaming, while making silly faces. He's what the uncle in the attic (with all due deference and respect to uncles in the attics), looks like. No matter, either way you lose; the better he does, the more it poorly reflects on The One's previously demonstrated ineptitude. Enjoy.

Biden sure is making Obama look bad in comparison. I can't argue that. But he's also spanking Ryan like a child.

Ryan is the future. Biden is the tired, old and failed liberal past. Biden needed to win. He might have. I believe Ryan, who didn't have to win, did himself and the ticket good. When was the last time a vice-presidential debate help anyone get elected? Biden will not save The One. The world knows Biden is a "professional" bsr, and true to form, he delivered. Ryan did not hurt the ticket. He appeared knowledgeable, kept his composure despite the Biden's continued breaching of the debate rules, and looked, principled and presidential. Only time, which is running short, will tell.

Yeah, it's only a VP debate. Probably won't matter much. But Joe Biden absolutely cleaned his clock. Paul Ryan looked like a little kid trying to argue with his father.

Time will tell. I'm glad you enjoyed it. I particularly enjoyed the give and take, including Ryan's strong conclusion. Millions watched it. The jury is still out. You know what they say, it's not how start, but how you finish that matters. Ultimately, I suspect, it won't change a thing, other than help R&R, given Biden's mannerisms bordering on the peripatetic Al Gore. Now is up to the One to match both Biden and Romney. Think he can do it?
DRed| 10.11.12 @ 11:47PM
It was definitely an entertaining debate. Certainly a lot more entertaining than the first one (and especially for me). Judging from the liberal friends I have, this debate will at the least help energize Democrats. Will it do much with independents? I very much doubt it. It's only a veep debate. But it will at least give Obama a little momentum for the next one.

I wish BIDEN would stop interrupting in the debate!! It doesn't speak well of the confidence in their record!
