How about we not negotiate, but simply leave.
We will leave sooner or later and the Taliban will still be there. Why not do it now instead of wasting even more money and blood?

One of the most long lasting delusions of the Left is that fundamental disputes between peoples or nations are subject to compromise or political negotiation. Remember Neville Chamberlin? We are not always dealing with rational leaders.
This is not to suggest that every dispute requires military action. That comes as a last resort usually after long term dialogue has been mismanaged. Both N. Korea and Iran come to mind. Early action can save lives and treasure. As Winston Churchill wrote about the coming of WWII,and I paraphrase, no war would have been more easily avoided if early action (he was referring to the Rhineland reoccupation) was taken.
