The Spectacle Blog

So the usual left-wing media game is on.

As this is written, neither the New York Times nor the the Washington Post has a single word about the bombshell tape of a 2007 Senator Barack Obama playing the race card at Hampton University. The story broken on Sean Hannity’s show last night by the Daily Caller’s Tucker Carlson.

There is neither word nor picture. Silencio.

The Post, to remind, is the paper that found front page material in Mitt Romney’s supposed high school antics.

Meanwhile, Mark Levin has directly addressed the tape issue here, saying:

Simply put: This is an evil speech full of lies, hate, and racism. I have never seen a president lower himself to this point. Pure demagoguery. Rather than dismiss or downplay this speech, as the big media and some foolish Republicans would have us do, everyone should watch it. Obama is not fit, by temperament, psychology, or motive, to be leading this great nation. We have it within our power, this November, to change course with our votes.

Well said.

Well, it must be a game changer if Mark Levin mentions it. Hells bells.

The only mildly newsworthy thing about this dud of a bombshell is how pathetic your attempts to tar the president are. It was a public speech. The speech was covered in 2007. If Mark Levin wanted to see Obama 'lower' himself to 'this point', maybe he should have been watching MSNBC 5 years ago. What a joke.

Obama in blackface. All the Dem buffoons do it.

RCV| 10.3.12 @ 11:44AM

It's a "bombshell" only in your mind, Jeffrey. Trying to turn old news into a new "bombshell" is truly pathetic.

It's remarkable how the Leftist finds scandal in the most benign statements by Mitt Romney, yet sees no evil in the statements of Obama or Biden.

JD| 10.3.12 @ 12:26PM

If it's not a scandal, why doesn't the Left-leaning media report what was said, accompanied by some mocking of those on the Right who are complaining about it. Do they possibly fear that such exposure would blow up in their faces when the independent public is exposed to what Obama said?

DRed| 10.3.12 @ 1:43PM

Well, MSNBC reported this speech 5 years ago, when it was arguably newsworthy. So, no, I really doubt that it's fear of exposing the public that's stopping them.

CNN has now decided to make this issue their headline, and in despicable ways.

There's no doubt any more about their naked Obama cheerleading.

First, they complain about the timing of Hannity's report, as if the Mother Jones thing wasn't also timed?

Then they say the Right is lying in claiming that CNN didn't report the story five years ago. But follow CNN's own links to their 5-year-old reporting, and you stuff that was well off the front page and makes no mention of the racial aspects of Obama's complaints.

CNN lies so boldly!

And they allow no comments on their story, either.
