Readers and friends and fellow patriots,
This is question is basically a sort of experiment, or trial
balloon. I’m not even sure it’s a great idea, but here goes:
If I had some bumper stickers made along the lines of “Paul Ryan
for President 2016” or “Paul Ryan 2016”, would any of you buy one
for $5 (which would cover my printing and postage costs)?
(If a lot of people say yes, I’ll make more than I otherwise
probably will.)
And whether or not you would buy one, what’s your gut reaction
to my thinking about making such bumper stickers and putting one on
my car?
UPDATE: Responses to this question on my Facebook
page have been uniformly negative. Some suggest it means I am
conceding this election to Obama. I am not, but I understand how it
could be seen that way. Some say it looks like a sign of GOP
weakness. That’s probably true, and perhaps for good reason. Based
on the early responses, it looks like I’m pretty much on my
own!

Good but premature as it would undercut Romney.

Throwing in the towel already? Sounds like an anxiety attack.

"Gut reaction"? Beltway "libertarian" supports career politician in quest to maintain Status Quo under "new" face.

Here's a good bumper sticker for you to spend money printing up, "Obama lied, diplomats died."
Occam's Tool| 10.1.12 @ 3:47PM
Slight disagreement, Mike: "Obama lied, Americans died." Leave it at that.

Occam,
You said it much better. Thanx for the fix.
Regards,
Mike

There's going to be an America in 2016? Really?
Butch| 10.1.12 @ 4:34PM
I have to admit, Mr. Kaminski, when I was reading your question I thought "Yes, I would, but not until after the election."
Marco2| 10.1.12 @ 5:00PM
I've heard that Romney believes that the serious spending cuts he'll have to make as president will be so unpopular that he won't be able to stand for reelection in 2016. Ryan, I assume, will be going down with the ship. So, bad idea.

Speaking of "Obama lied, Americans died", I want to make sure you all saw the best line of the month, in Jed Babbin's article today:
"Al Qaeda is still alive, and GM is still dying."

Any bumper sticker that is not VERY PRO liberal democrat in Santa Fe, NM will get your vehicle keyed. Smoking in the middle of the desert will get your car keyed. Interestingly, I recently toured the Sam's Club parking lot on a busy day and found only one Obama bumper sticker.

Pete, you took words out of my mouth. I wish somebody come up with stats regarding number of Obama bumper sticker 2008 vs 2012. I only saw one in the whole NE PA this time around. I remember it was hard to find a car without one 4 years ago. Based on the number of Obama stickers and yard posts, democrats are as excited as a turtle. It should mean something come election, don't you think?

Same in Boulder, Pete

Too soon, or running scared: you decide.
If Romney pulls this off, then in December 2016, you should be selling "Ryan 2020: Vision for the Future" stickers.
If Romney fails, maybe you should start selling your 2016 stickers this December, but there's plenty of reason to believe he will succeed. Root for success!

I would never put a bumper sticker on my car due to the damage it would cause.
Ross Kaminsky| 10.2.12 @ 11:56AM
This is probably the best answer of the day.

Already planning for 2016? Smart move. 2012 is lost for the GOP.
