Obama Voters: Ignoramuses

So, those who support Obama are either the intelligentsia/elite…or utter morons. (Or is that redundant?)

But seriously, how can we expect a better government than what we have if voters are so completely ignorant?

The Stern show may have helped expose the ignorance of the base Democratic voter yet who would be surprised if Robin Quivers, Boy Gary, Fred Norris and perhaps Stern himself will be voting for Obama in November.

Stan Redmond| 9.25.12 @ 8:22PM

Stern admitted he was duped by Obama and won't support him.

It is quite funny to laugh at, but do recall, there was poll in 2004 that revealed that something like 70% of Republicans thought Saddam Hussein was behind 9/11, a ridiculous tin foil hat conspiracy.

The 'let everyone vote' democracy we live in is filled with the ignorant.

Occam's Tool| 9.25.12 @ 4:43PM

Well, Bowen, you're an idiot who bows to terrorists, so what are you laughing over?

C Bowen | 9.25.12 @ 6:26PM

Occam;

You were the one who talked tough on the Internet about genociding the Islamic world and putting the survivors in slave labor camps right? Anything to the civilized side of the equation of that, in your mind, is bowing to terrorists?

Oldefarte| 9.25.12 @ 9:14PM

I wouldn't waste the time/energy doing that, but instead would make their oil worthless and thereafter watch in glee as the Syria-ied themselves over time!!!!!!!!

And 100% of humans can pull numbers out of their ass and use them as the basis of flawed Tu Quoque arguments.

Source?

That's from 2003; I am looking for the 2004 poll USA Today did on Republicans and that particular tinfoil hat meme, but the above is a good place to start.

Trinacria| 9.25.12 @ 7:27PM

The first two paragraphs of the article (CAPS MINE):

Nearly seven in 10 AMERICANS believe it is likely that ousted Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein was personally involved in the Sept. 11 attacks, says a poll out almost two years after the terrorists' strike against this country.

Sixty-nine percent in a Washington Post poll published Saturday said they believe it is likely the Iraqi leader was personally involved in the attacks carried out by al-Qaeda. A majority of DEMOCRATS, REPUBLICANS and INDEPENDENTS believe it's likely Saddam was involved.

Facts. They're really rather useless unless quoted accurately...

C Bowen | 9.25.12 @ 8:40PM

Are you under the impression I had this bookmarked? I did a simple google search and posted the first link--I even wrote a disclaimer which you repeated back to me.

That said, do you think in the 2003 poll that Republicans were more likely (that is over 70%) to believe Saddam was behind 9/11, or less likely, in light of later polling data?

Are you considered "smart" by your peers?

C Bowen | 9.25.12 @ 6:42PM

Found a Zogby poll from 2006, where he has 65% of Republicans -- I'll keep looking for the 2004 election year number:

You go ahead and keep yourself busy looking for crap no one cares about in your vainglorious and feeble attempt to portray yourself as better than everyone else by trying to equate republicans with ignorant democrats.

C Bowen | 9.25.12 @ 8:52PM

"A September 2004 Newsweek poll found that 42 percent of Americans believed that Saddam was “directly involved in planning, financing, or carrying out the terrorist attacks.” As of mid October, “75 percent of Bush supporters continue to believe that Iraq was providing substantial support to al-Qaeda, and 63 percent believe that clear evidence of this support has been found,” according to a University of Maryland poll. "

That is from a Jim Bovard (former AmSpec writer) article.

One would have to find that University of Maryland poll. I'll try to get to it tomorrow, but in the meantime, lets go back to the other question, if in 2003 70% said that Saddam was behind 9/11, would you expect the number to be higher or lower amongst Republicans?

Crassus| 9.25.12 @ 8:57PM

Give it a rest, queer bait. Bush is retired to Texas now.

C Bowen | 9.26.12 @ 4:18PM

Paul Ryan just "came out" for gays in the military so try not to project too much, hippie.

spike59| 9.26.12 @ 6:16AM

what's even scarier is that, in a poll from 2006, over HALF of Democrats were convinced that Bush either caused 9/11 or knowingly allowed it to happen...and scarier still? only 15% of Democrats believe there's anything wrong with the economy...the same 15% of Democrats that DON'T think ObaMao is doing such a great job that he deserves re-election...how do you run a party when 85% of the members are MORONS?

Nancy in NC| 9.26.12 @ 8:20AM

What a stupid comeback. How many Dimocrats thought the same thing? I know many Dimocrats in Congress did as they voted to send troops there.

Besides, you're comparing apples to oranges. These poor suckers don't even know UBL is dead! What planet do they live on?

The Dims get the dead to vote and the brain dead as well.

JmsA| 9.25.12 @ 3:14PM

Only a moron laughs at something inconsequential from eight years ago.

Butch| 9.25.12 @ 4:10PM

Your equal citizens, offsetting your vote. I don't think this country can survive mass, unlimited democracy. Just preventing morons from voting--IQs of 85 and below--would lock in traditional America forever.

Ted R.| 9.25.12 @ 9:09PM

Good example here of the 'irritable mental gestures' Cons are prone to. Though I do sympathize; I felt exactly the same way, when John Kerry lost. Since you think is the Obama is the worst ever and all, you'll probably agree that 2004 was the most pivotal election of our lifetime; without the Bush victory (though likely voter-suppression boosted), there's no Obama.

Well, it's time for you guys to feel the same agony of defeat. Shouldn't be too upset, though; the country survived Bush, so you'll survive Obama.

JmsA| 9.25.12 @ 10:56PM

There's quite a bit of fault to be found with GWB, but I'm thankful to him for keeping the histrionic one, Al Gore, and the phony, unrepentant leftist, Jean Francois Kerry out of the White House. In terms of surviving Obama, I'm not so sure: just take a close, objective look at both his domestic and foreign policy failures. The guy's way over his head. Not to worry, though; there's more than a few like you to help his prospects along.

spike59| 9.26.12 @ 6:18AM

the only thing 'suppressing' the 2004 vote was the America-hating clown the Democrats nominated

Oldefarte| 9.25.12 @ 9:20PM

Ross, I would argue that the American people are not IGNORANT, but instead are simply STUPID [and to prove my point I'd offer the results of 11/4/08]!

AllAmericanAmerican| 9.25.12 @ 10:29PM

Its simple---you can vote if you pay taxes. Period. If you're on the dole you don't get to vote.

Ted R.| 9.26.12 @ 5:06AM

Totally agree with you. That'd be the fastest, surest way to repeal the Bush tax cut.

spike59| 9.26.12 @ 6:12AM

his points to a larger truth; con artists are utterly dependent on suckers who are too stupid to realize they're being conned and/or too greedy to care
