Time for a Major Re-Set

I think a lot of conservatives today are missing the horrible damage the Romney “47 percent” video did to his campaign. A lot of people are looking at poll results out today that still show a neck and neck race among likely voters and thinking, oh, okay, the video didn’t do much damage.

Wrong. Just wait two days. The polls out today would not have included much, if any, reaction from voters post-video. I guarantee that the numbers for Romney will be worse in the next few days. Dead solid guarantee.

Romney desperately needs to reset his campaign. Paul Ryan’s speech to the Values Voters Summit was the sort of thing Romney’s whole campaign needs to do: be focused, build an actual argument, explain WHY conservative ideas are better.

Right now there is a disaster in the making for conservatives. Peggy Noonan has great advice about what to do about it. Gotta run to a meeting, but please do read it.
