Quin tells us that he saw a few minutes of the trailer of the Mohammed film which purportedly caused the violence against our diplomatic posts in Egypt and Libya and he thought it to be idiotic.

I have also seen a trailer and it’s on the low end of low budget.

Yet as far as the Muslim world is concerned it doesn’t matter if we dislike the film. It is the fact that the film was made at all that is an affront to Muslims.

If you take a look at this video from MEMRI (H/T Daniel Halper of The Weekly Standard), one Egyptian protester demands that the U.S. government announce that this film not be shown on American television or distributed abroad as well as demanding the release of The Blind Sheikh.

Of course, the U.S. government cannot and must not prevent this film from being shown. With that being said, no one is obliged to watch the film if they choose not to do so. If Muslims dislike this film then fine but it doesn’t give them the right to storm our embassies and murder our diplomats.

The United States was built on the foundation of freedom of speech and we should never apologize for it. If this offends the Muslim world then so be it.

The movie was factually correct as far as what is known about Mohammad . However, there is much evidence he is only a fictional character. We should Nuke the fanatics of the phony religion known as Islam. Their phony religion is only scam to hide their goal of ruling the world and murdering anyone who opposes their goal. Idiots like the incompetent fools in the Cairo embassy talk about respecting religious beliefs. This is why Islam has been so successful hiding the truth that they are are violent criminal beasts who are no better than the Nazis in WWII. Now they have placed one of their uncivilized beasts Hussein Obama the traitorous worm in the White House. He is not a real American since he was born in Kenya . He should be impeached and tried for treason. Maybe he will apologize to the murderers of the US ambassador to Libya . It shows how much this country has deteriorated . When a subhuman low IQ worm like Obama can become President this country is really in deep trouble.

Our "intervention" kicks out Gaddafi and places the people in charge who did this.

As far as "freedom of speech" goes, ask Brandon Raub what that gets you these days. Disappeared into the psychotic gulag.

it doesn't, in the end, matter whether the film was poorly made or a cinematic masterpiece, whether it was insulting or not, or even whther it was accurate or inaccurate; there is NO excuse for violence.

The film was just an excuse to trigger the mob, these were pre-planned. The attacks happened on September 11th, the first anniversary after the death of Osama and our government was not prepared. We had US personnel unprotected in Bengazi, a noted hotspot, without proper security.

With regards to Egypt and the rest of the Arab Spring countries, POTUS celebrated the cause which gave rise to the Muslim Brotherhood, he got us involved in Libya.

The media will continue to praise Obama for his foreign policy but the reality is he built this disaster.

Islam is the reason, the only reason. Westerners like to find other reasons or "excuses" for these attacks because our sissified, feminized western brains just can't fathom why folks would not like us. Read a koran. Its all in there. Islam is the reason they attacked. Only dumb dumb dhimmi westerners need to find "excuses" and "underlying reasons" when they shit is staring them right in the face.

The film is NOT the excuse! READ A KORAN! They don't need a film or a picture or a book as an excuse for violence---it is called for in their unholy koran!!!!!

Every time someone in the West--a politician, a pundit, or an average citizen---brings up the film you are simply playing into their hands. How many films or "works of art" or book have been written critical to downright obscene and nasty regarding Christianity or Christ? Would it have been OK for Christians to attack and kill? Why not? Would we have blamed the film, or said it was an excuse for them to attack? Or would we have said their ideology is so rigid, stone-age, and violent that it can not even accept criticism without resorting to violence? Would we have blamed Christianity or a film?

STOP blaming, tying into, or even discussing the film. When you do you're missing the frigging turbin-wearing elephant holding the sword sitting int he living room.

Its islam, not a film, not a cartoon, not a book. Islam is the reason they attacked, NOT A FILM!!!!!

How do you like the film of those animals dragging our ambassador's lifeless body through their filthy Third World streets?

AllAmericanAmerican| 9.13.12 @ 8:46AM

What's different about that and when they drug our soldiers through the streets of Mogadishu? Or the contractors through Fallujah? Or dumped those soldiers bodies in Iraq all booby-trapped with bombs?

I imagine our white house will "condemn it in the strongest terms" cuz you know, a good scolding works every time with muslims.

Teflon93 | 9.13.12 @ 10:35AM

Their barbarism is constant. As is our unwillingness to send these bastards straight to Allah.

Mick Lee| 9.13.12 @ 8:44AM

Doesn't it appear that it was no coincidence that these attacks ocurred on the aniversary of 9/11?

Teflon93 | 9.13.12 @ 10:36AM

Strictly accidental. As was the preplanning that preceded anyone knowing about the movie they seized upon as a predicate.
