I’m not worried about this so-called Obama post-convention bounce.

Why?

Well, talk to me in a month from now after the first debate. Obama won’t have a teleprompter to aid him.

thanks a lot for sharing with us this informative post.I think it will be helpful for me! Very useful information.

RCV| 9.11.12 @ 2:16AM

That's the most apt spam comment ever. Really, Aaron, this was a truly vapid post.

Truth to Power| 9.11.12 @ 8:46AM

RCV is clearly still in Southern California calling for more of the same.

Why is everyone pinning their hopes on this superb performance they're just assuming Romney will make? The GOP unbelievably agreed to staunchly lib moderators, who will assuredly stack the deck as high in Obama's favor as possible. The fix is already in.

Jacob McCandles| 9.11.12 @ 8:57AM

I hope Romney is getting really ticked off with all of the democrat lies. He's going to need a linebacker's mentality for the debates. He can crush BHO, but he must engage him, directly challenge him, and pull a few Gingrich moves on the moderators.

For those that have brains and spines....read it.

Aaron, we may disagreed vehemently in the past on some issues but you do indeed have a spine and can stick to your guns, thanks for your positiveness and courage.

I have, and I have. I would only point out that your specs are in an ever dwindling supply. Hence, the electorate is increasingly unstable. I can hardly blame the citizenry for the fickleness, however, since their feedback loop (the media) is being jammed. By all means we'll vote, but stocking beans and lead in the basement couldn't hurt.

Bob Grant| 9.11.12 @ 9:50AM

I'm sure most of us pine for a Ryan/obama debate and let Romney/Biden fight it out in the undercard.

Occam's Tool| 9.11.12 @ 10:28AM

Romney will wipe the floor with Obama in the debate. Barry doesn't have an active law license for a reason.

RCV| 9.11.12 @ 11:39AM

Here's a news flash, Occam: Romney doesn't have one either. And judging from his performance during the primaries, he's hardly a debate master. As Bob Grant notes, Ryan would do much better, but he's not in the main event.

CJW| 9.11.12 @ 2:40PM

Romney has not represented himself as a constitutional law professor as Obama has. I did not even know Romney has a JD as well as an MBA.

RCV| 9.11.12 @ 6:25PM

Obama did in fact teach constitutional law at the University of Chicago's law school, one of the finest in the country. And the fact that you didn't know Romney has a JD doesn't negate the fact that both candidates have JDs from Harvard Law School and neither is an active member of the bar.

CJW| 9.11.12 @ 10:03PM

Maybe I was not clear. Obama brags about teaching con law and attending Harvard Law so it is expected he should do better in a debate. But Romney will do better because Obama is lost without his teleprompter, and the majority are not buying what he is selling. Romney has the facts of Obama's mishandling of the economy and weak leadership on foreing policy.

Fargo44| 9.11.12 @ 11:25PM

Yes but I expect that Romney actually earned his JD by passing the exams -- he probably was not given an affirmative action "free pass" like our current Placeholder of the United States.

Zeppo| 9.11.12 @ 11:43AM

Sure, if it was actually a debate. In reality, I expect Dear Leader to stick doggedly to his talking points. It won't be pretty, but unless Mitt goads him into spontaneity, he will walk away unscathed.

Fargo44| 9.11.12 @ 11:42PM

Yes I expect you are correct -- Romney needs to go at his ego and point out his incompetence -- not too hard to do. But will he? Romney's campaign is starting to show the kind of incompetence and fecklessness of the McCain disaster IMHO. Rush says go ideological -- there's the problem with that because deep down Mitt and the Pothead in Chief see a lot of things as different in degree not different in kind. The recent unforced error of trying to have it both ways on Obamacare probably cost him votes.

George S| 9.11.12 @ 10:36AM

Obama may not have his teleprompter but he will have something just as good: the moderators.

Fargo44| 9.11.12 @ 11:47PM

Yes another example of incompetence on the part of his campaign - why agree to suicide? He is starting to look like John S. McCain is some respects. Today McCain says time to get tough on Obama -- yeah like he was so tough in 2008. The only good part of this story is after four more years of Obama you probably won't be able to find a democrat with a search warrant.

Kingofthenet| 9.11.12 @ 10:57AM

I saw this movie....back in 2008. The President seemed to do pretty good against McCain, and believe it or not Mc Cain didn't do that bad.

Fargo44| 9.11.12 @ 11:32PM

You can't be serious. I don't know which Romney will show up at the debates either. But he would have to work at being as bad as McCain. John McCain was the most incompetent debater and the most miserable Republican candidate I have ever seen. Disgraceful is too kind of a word for his campaign and its brain-dead staff. There is a reason why he finished 3rd from the bottom of his class at Annapolis and why he was the only republican caught in the Keating scandal.

Ken (Old Texican)| 9.11.12 @ 1:37PM

Well,
it is pretty obvious at this point that RCV has his snout deeply in Obama's trough.

Happy as a clam isn't he?

RCV| 9.11.12 @ 6:26PM

I am happy, Ken. The polls look good, the GOP campaign is off to a miserable start, and I expect to celebrate the President's reelection in two short months. Sorry you're feeling down today, guy.
