The Spectacle Blog

I usually take Michael Moore’s words with a grain of salt. In fact, several gallons of sodium.

But the portly film director thinks Mitt Romney is going to win the election in November.

This tells me that the Left is losing faith in President Obama. Three and a half plus years in office with nothing to show for it. Moore isn’t counting on Obama to fool the country again. Sure Moore qualifies his statement by saying that Romney will only win because of money. But President Obama isn’t exactly running on a shoestring budget. In fact, he has a billion dollar budget. But as long as Obama’s ideas aren’t worth a dime and his policies continue to put us into the hole, a billion dollar budget isn’t worth anything.

I am not underestimating Obama. He plays for keeps. But I am getting more and more optimistic about Romney’s chances everyday.

Maybe Moore really believes that Romney will win, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's just a GOTV strategy.

Sounds like Mr. Svelte is wanting to look prescient when the obvious occurs in November. The man with no credibility is hoping to earn some.

are you people high?

aware| 9.1.12 @ 1:54PM

Ok, according to you the Fat boy is an idiot and wrong about everything in the world, except this?

Pitiful you have to go to him to get the story you want. Neo cons are nothing if not "flexible", right?

Dai Alanye | 9.1.12 @ 6:47PM

So now the lefties even hate Michael Moore, eh? Getting out of line is dangerous for liberals.

aware| 9.2.12 @ 12:22PM

I would give you credit by NOT believing you think I'm a Leftist. If you do, you are seriously mistaken.

Dai Alanye | 9.3.12 @ 11:17PM

Nitwit, then?

aware| 9.4.12 @ 6:07AM

Maybe. But that would still put me about 20 levels higher on the intelligence scale than a neo con. Poor fellows don't even know what direction the criticism is coming from. Just keep letting Conservative Inc. do your thinking for you.

Come now, "aware", we all know how this works. People like Moore go out of their way to disagree with us more than they go out of their way to do anything else. When even they grudgingly agree, it's notable.

The "stupidity" you cite comes with an agenda. Absent the agenda, something different is happening.

PCPSmokerII| 9.1.12 @ 11:32PM

Aware is absolutely right. Why in the fuck would anyone, let alone some jew named Goldstein, pay attention to anything Moore has to say? If you are that hard up for something to comment on, then write about the NL Central division. At least it would be entertaining.
The American Spectator, with creeps like Goldshit, Hilier, and the other jerk, seems like diminishing returns.

Clearly a product of the inner city education system, and votes for the zero.

soljerblue| 9.4.12 @ 5:19PM

Just wondering here...is your brain really so fried, or your education so lacking, that you can't make an argument without using gutter language?

Or maybe it's just that you're a progressive.

soljerblue| 9.4.12 @ 5:15PM

Optimism is fine as far as it goes. But the fat lady ain't sung yet.

Well, I hope this is a prediction of Michael Moore's that comes true, and the hypertension resulting makes his pointy, greasy, vacuous head explode.
