Well….
Barack Obama worked in Chicago after college. Obama went back to Chicago after law school. Obama was an adjunct instructor at the University of Chicago. Barack Obama represented an area of Chicago in the Illinois state Senate. Obama owns a house in Chicago. Obama’s wife worked in Chicago. Obama went to church in Chicago. Obama probably even liked the rock band Chicago.
But does anybody really know what time it is? Does anybody really care? About time?
I bet if Obama spends Saturday in the park, he will do it in Chicago.

I never thought "Chicago" was a synonym for "black", I always thought it was a synonym for "crooked" and has been since the days of Bill Thompson. Remember Mike Royko's great quote in his book about Richard Daley, that the seal of the city of Chicago ought to show an outstretched hand, palm up, over the motto "Ubi Est Mea?", which is Latin for "Where's mine? ".

Don't know where Chris "Whiter 'n' White" Matthews has been but Chicago has had this reputation as a rough, crooked city going back to the days of Al Capone, Jake "Greasy Thumb" Guzik, Al Nitti, and Paddy Bauler - all white, it should be noted. Chicago politicians like Richard J. Daley and "Fast Eddie" Vrdolyak (white guys) practiced politics as a contact sport. The city was where one-time governor and current inmate (and white guy), Rod Blagojevich, got his start.
