Unlike Quin, I've enjoyed all the speeches tonight. Even the sincere earnestness of the attorneys general gave me a smile. Never much cared for Huckabee before tonight but he's delivering a helluva speech.

Agree; easily the best speech of the convention so far--enhanced by the polished, natural delivery. However, I kind of liked that "old guy" band featuring the trumpet and the sax.

Let's just get to November and win this thing!

Rand Paul has a bright future, as long as he steers clear of the Tinfoil Hat nonsense his dad likes to spew forth like a crazy drunken uncle at family cookouts

As Ryan indicated in his, speeches/words aren't worth a plug nickel and will possibly get you A RIDE ON THE SAINT CHARLES STREETCAR! Writers produce books etc while professional businessmen manage entities, but as the old saying goes, THAT DON'T MEAN EXCREMENT. It's ACTIONS THAT COUNT. We all should now have our combined bellies full of the BULLEXCREMENT of empty words from Chicago and DC, and now we're left with an empty bag of excessive unemployment along with governmental welfare, corruption and a dying country from same. To the William S. crowd with their beautifully written/composed scriptings onto pages far and wide, I say THANK YOU FOR SAME, but stick to your profession and leave the administration/management of businesses and governments to those truly/educationally qualified to accompolish success within same. I've spent a lifetime observing WINDBAGS SPOUTING OR WRITING EXCREMENT that were gifted, beautiful and truly inspiring, but that is worthless and useless when consideration is given to economical/fianancial management techniques that succeed in administering entities. Peter Druker, Jack Welsh, Sandy Weill etc no doubt would trip over their own tongues in giving speeches, but they know how to run entities that function, produce, deliver, and survive!!!!

If you've seen any coverage of Paul Ryan's speech in Tampa, you know that the consensus among journalists and independent observers is that it was ... factually challenged.
He lied about Medicare. He lied about the Recovery Act. He lied about the deficit and debt. He even dishonestly attacked Barack Obama for the closing of a GM plant in his hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin -- a plant that closed in December 2008 under George W. Bush. He also failed to offer one constructive idea about what he would do to move the country forward.
