Joan Walsh is officially a lunatic. Now she says that Rick Santorum’s speech last night was race-baiting. Words fail.

Is there no end to the leftist attempt to ramp up black turnout for the Dems by creating a straw man named Jim Crow to try to scare black voters? Talk about a racist dog whistle! It is people like Walsh, who turn ordinary discourse about issue disagreements into racial issues, who are the race baiters. Indeed, by seeing race where race is not intended or reasonably assumed, it is they, the leftists, who are the racists.

Obama hasn't eliminated work requirements for welfare. Santorum was lying his face off. Mittens has been having trouble connecting to white, blue collar voters. Now he's been lying repeatedly about Obama making it easy for people to get welfare without working. So his strategy to connect with blue collar white voters is to lie about his black opponent's record on welfare. Nope. Definitely no race baiting. Oh snap. I said race baiting! That means I am actually the racist!

You would be more accurately called race obsessed and a liar. Progressives are tremendous projectors. From dog whistles to southern strategies one will always find that they are describing themselves. The above paragraph shows the concern that the constant golfing, Martha Vinyarding Obama doesn't connect with the middle class. He connects with the dysfunctional celebrity class and those that closely follow the National Enquirer.

Obama hasn't eliminated work requirements for welfare. That's a lie. Rick Santorum knows it's a lie. Mitt Romney knows it's a lie. Look it up yourself-don't take my word for it.

Hey look, here's a letter signed by Governor Mitt Romney of Massachusetts saying "increased waiver authority, allowable work activities, availability of partial work credit and the ability to coordinate state programs are all important aspects of moving recipients from welfare to work".

Mitt is lying. Little Ricky the good Catholic is lying. Ask yourself why. This is no "straw man named Jim Corw(sic)". It's dishonest race baiting.

So what?
Democrats lie about everything; the MSM and academia repeat it until "everybody knows it".
Are we lying about welfare/work?
BFD.
Who cares?
So what?
Howzit taste?

The Republican 2012 platform in a nutshell: We're lying. Who Cares?

It has worked well for the goose.
Gander's turn!
How's that sauce?

Except they're not lying. In Ann Coulter's column today, she states that no less an authority than Mickey Kaus agrees that the Romney add is essentially correct. Obama hasn't necessarily "gutted" the work requirement in welfare reform, but he HAS given Sibelius authority to do so if states request certain exemptions from the 1996 law. And we all know how we can rely on Sibelius to do the right thing. Obviously, it's only a matter of time.

Yes, yes, I know, Ann Coulter is the spawn of Satan to you liberals, but if you so concsiously refuse to read certain things, you very well might remain ignorant.

When did former Senator Santorum claim that O'Bama "eliminated" the work requirements from Welfare Reform, DRed? I'll save you the time: He DIDN'T!

Plus, O'Bama is trying to gut the work requirement in TANF. The regime's proposal would allow HHS and states to redefine what the word "work" means.

And, O'Bama & HHS have NO AUTHORITY to waive ANYTHING. It's called the law, DRed. Read for yourself:

"The HHS directive asserts that because the work requirements (established in section 407) are an item that state governments must report on in section 402, and HHS has the authority to waive section 402, all of the work requirements can be waived. This removes the core of the TANF program; TANF becomes a blank slate that HHS bureaucrats and liberal state bureaucrats can rewrite at will."

Excuse me, if I'm dubious that a bunch of liberals, who hated Welfare Reform to begin with, are really interested in removing more people from the public dole.

This is news to you, Quin?

JimP| 8.29.12 @ 6:04PM

At least it shows how absolutely desperate they are. What must their internal polls be showing? Personally I don't think it will work. Black people in the vast majority don't vote Republican, as we all know, but I don't think they will vote for "a brother" who has made them even worse off economically either.

i've often wondered why it is that the Left seems to be so addicted to blurting out 'but what he REALLY meant was' nonsense, rather than listening to what a conservative is SAYING; perhaps it's because their own 'leaders' talk so much Lewis Carroll-style gibberish that they've gotten used to having to make up the apparent meaning for themselves-and face it, critical reasoning is NOT the strong suit of the Left.

Oldefarte| 8.30.12 @ 12:24PM

I think that John McCain [whom I voted for in 2008] nailed it on Fox this morning when he said that Obama's/Democrats' campaign of such this year has been sadly disappointing and enlightening after their previous H&C theme of 2008. Same simply tells the public who/what these people truly are/aren't. They will stop at nothing to drag everyone down in their toilet and to smear excrement over all of us. For the office of the POTUS to be so lowered and demeaned is a damnable offense IMHO [but typical when one considers who these people truly are]. They have at least temporarily ruined the speciality of highest political office in the entire world by dragging it down into their gutter. I only hope that the fools and idiots who voted for/elected this group in 2008 are proud of themselves now, because the rest of us are ashamed and disheartened by your stupidity!!!!!!!
