Given that the Democrats’ Mediscare tactics aren’t working, the inherent brilliance of Paul Ryan and the inherent daftness of Joe Biden, the Obama campaign is trying to shift the conversation back to Mitt Romney’s tax returns.
Obama campaign manager Jim Messina says that if Romney releases five years worth of tax returns “we’ll stop demanding more.”
I think Romney should take the deal in exchange for Obama’s academic transcripts at Occidental, Columbia and Harvard Law plus the Rashid Khalidi tape.

We want the applications to see what nationality he claimed to get accepted, the financial records to see who/how he paid.
We can assume the grades are in the Biden range, otherwise O would have released them.
Also, throw in the financial info on how he and Rezko paid for Obama, and how Michele got her raise to $350,000 and O requested an earmark for her employer.
There is no reason to release tax returns. Romney said he paid the capital gains tax because his income is mostly capital gains.

I like the suggestion by someone in another thread that Romney and Ryan should release all of their academic records the day after the conclusion of the Republican convention and then ask King O and BFD Biden to release theirs.

Coach: Good point. Romney and Ryan should release their birth certificates and then demand King O's and BFD Biden's birth certificates. Do it along with their education records from 1st grade through all levels of education.

Mitt has met the requirements...they just want dittos to kill-time with so they never have to answer the questions on how they have failed the nation on jobs and bad policies that gave us the loss of wealth and any hopes of prosperity! This election is critical....we must get out of this morose

Obama has hidden much of his past and as much as it would be interesting to learn the facts, Obama's history and Romney's tax records are distractions. The real issue of this campaign are the policy goals of the candidates and what they will lead to. Obama: more control for a corrupt state which will take us further down the road to an impoverished dictatorship. Romney: greater respect for personal choice and accomplishment.

Exactly, the IRS reports up to Timmy Geithner who reports to POTUS, they know what's in the returns. How absurd to think that if Romney was not reporting or underpaying his taxes, the IRS would sit and do nothing? Nonsense...
Fast and Furious records, please specifically, who authorized the progam and when, POTUS is protecting Holder, what are they hiding? We will have to wait on the courts, November cannot come soon enough.

The corruption this president is guilty of is beyond the pale. Mitt and Ryan look like two Saints compared to Obama and Axelrod. The difference is between night an day. I seriously think Axelrod must be having nightmares with the internal polling for his boy. Truth be told Romney is ten points ahead of Obama. They are having to weight the polls for Obama by ten points now and the closer we get to the election it will probably be twenty to twenty five points. I am clueless how any decent, moral person could even think of voting for Obama. His morals and values have been in the gutter for a long time. The thing that worries me is voter fraud and I have read Soros bought the company that counts votes that is in Spain. I am hoping and praying that they can't manipulate the votes thru that company.
