My
latest column at the University of Mobile’s Center for
Leadership site. with regard to the success of the rallies in favor
of the chicken chain, a taste:
[N]obody built these rallies but the people themselves. No third
party provided money for it. Nobody used tax dollars confiscated
from citizens to make it happen. We Americans built this movement
through individual action and private initiative voluntarily
channeled through word of mouth and social networks. Nobody “helped
us do it.” Yet it was a complete and utter triumph.

I think Mr. Cathy learned from Sarah Palin how to play the right. Ca ching.

as always with 'enlightened progressives', you missed the point by a country mile:
the American public played the Left: you all had a self-righteous hissy fit and your annointed government overseers in Chicago, Boston, DeeCee, BanFran, and other places wrapped their intolerant arms around your widdle outwaged shoulders and said 'there there, we'll take care of that bad bad man'...but the American people, using THEIR OWN time and money, said "WHO the hell do you cretins think you ARE?" and supported free speech
all Mr Cathy did in response to the juvenile tantrum from the always-Intolerant Left was provide a product people wanted, serve it courteously and graciously in a clean, comfortable, and friendly environment, and at a price people were more than willing to pay

Ooh ooh wait, I get it. Cathy makes what he considered an innocuous statement. The backlash from self-serving liberals pretending that they care about gay rights when they are only using the issue to demonize conservatives(just as their friends the Islamic radicals use Palestinians as a crutch to feed their Jew-hatred), results in a short-term windfall for Chick-Fil-A. So obviously Cathy had the whole thing planned. Wow. You're not just a genius, you're THE genius.

No matter how low you set the logical argument bar for a liberal, they always bang their head trying to climb over. This is why they must go around the bar thereby avoiding such towering obstacles altogether.
:>)
Anyhoo, the score from last week was:
Mr. Cathy: Million$$$$
Liberals: Zzzzzzz.....

You lost the argument in the second sentence. Innocuous. LOL.
spike59| 8.10.12 @ 5:58AM
Mike, give it up...you've lost. Period. Full stop.

the Left completely SELF-immolated on this one: they chose to flip out over someone publicly stating his personal belief that marriage is between a man and a woman and decided that disagreement was not enough; public ridicule by the media was not enough; but that the only thing left to do (pun intended) to punish this act of disagreement with ProgThought was to threaten, via government intimidation, the man's business and the livelihoods of his employees, their families, and his business partners. the reaction was easily forseeable: we, as Americans, get incredibly testy when the government decides what opinions you may have and attempts to destroy a business as the result of exercising First Amendment rights...thus the overwhelming show of support for Chick-Fil-A
so, the results? not just a huge one-day sales boom for the company, but an increase in business that seems to be continuing...so a HUGE win for the company
for society? a reminder that, regardless of our personal beliefs, we don't appreciate government and media bullying
for Conservatives? another opportunity to show that we take our principles seriously and we support them peacefully
for Liberals/Progressives? a "Fail" of EPIC proportions; a HUGE display of the intolerance (threat by government officials, bomb threats, celebrity supporters publicly wishing death upon cusomers, Leftist harrassment of employees, acts of vandalism) that is the hallmark of the Left, proudly displayed for all to see

If people would similarily use their pee-peed offness not only against the absurdities of homosexuals's activities but to liberalism in general, you'd be shocked at what could become accompolished. All it takes is for people to collectively vote with their present in November to begin the process of turning this country around. All that is necessary is for people pee-peed off at the immorality of Hollywood to collectively turn off their TV sets and to not give their monies to Carmikes and United Theatres in general to view their shown garbage. With the internet, all it takes is a Mike Huckabee or a Quin Hillyer to united them by instruction as to what, when, how etc as to an occurrance/activity, and thereafter for people collectively to take the necessary activity. It's all quite simple, but as long as people take an attitude of IT'S NOTHING I CAN DO ABOUT IT, this excrement will continue and become worse with time. It's the old story of ......UNITED WE STAND, DIVIDED WE FALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
