Within 15 minutes of each other, the U.S. women’s water polo team and U.S. women’s soccer team both won gold medals. About an hour earlier, the women’s b-ball team advanced to the gold-medal game with a win over tough Australia. Of course the American women won the team gymnastics gold, and American pairs won both gold and silver in beach volleyball. In team sports, American women rock!!! And that’s not even to mention all the individual medals these women are winning. Awesome stuff. Gotta love All-American Girls! (Note to radical, humorless feminists: “Girls” is okay in that context.
