If same-sex couples want to kiss in front of Chick-fil-A restaurants around the country then by all means go for it. Bless your little hearts. Exercise your first amendment rights as you see fit.

I look forward to future National Same-Sex Kiss Days to take place in front of African-American churches and mosques complete with graffiti.

The gay marriage issue is a no go for the right, & no one seems to notice. Romney signed in gay marriage as governor. The right needs to just sit down & shut up just like their dear leader because when you pick a guy like romney, most issues are given to the left without a fight.

Oh, & please correct me if I am mistaken. & point me towards all of the stories that I have missed about romney fighting for conservative family values.

Romney is a loss for liberty, if you wanted it back you won't get it with him as your lead.

Conservatism is the headless horseman in 2012.

Aaron Goldstein| 8.3.12 @ 1:29PM

Mitt Romney did not "sign in" gay marriage in Massachusetts. Gay marriage was legalized by the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Council.

Libertyinfinite| 8.3.12 @ 1:42PM

& then he signed it.

Aaron Goldstein| 8.3.12 @ 2:35PM

Romney didn't sign anything concerning gay marriage. In fact, he tried to block its implementation. He wanted a statewide referendum on the matter but the Democrat dominated legislature blocked it. You need to get your facts straight.

Libertyinfinite| 8.5.12 @ 2:31PM

You need to get your facts straight. The court gave the Massachusetts Legislature 180 days in which to "take such action as it may deem appropriate" following its November 18, 2003 ruling. Governor Mitt Romney ordered town clerks to begin issuing marriage licenses on May 17, 2004.

As governor he could have opposed it, but he chose not to, signed it, & in fact ordered it implemented. You need to learn the difference between romney propaganda & truth.

spike59| 8.6.12 @ 6:01AM

As governor he could have opposed it
===========================
he couldn't have stopped it, and he believes that the law is the law, and must be enforced...as opposed to ObaMao, who refuses to enforce any laws with which he personally disagrees. it's called 'taking your oath of office seriously'...as in most other things, when ObaMao took his oath, he LIED

Leonard Gilbert| 8.3.12 @ 5:29PM

You obviously have your head up your butt.
Try to name anything that President Clueless will stand for through more than one election cycle. He says what he needs to say to get your vote. All politicians are guilty of this but he's the "PROFESSOR".

Libertyinfinite| 8.5.12 @ 2:34PM

The whole of the left is standing with gay marriage this time, it is their new promise.

& from romney only silence on the matter, & a give away of the whole issue to the left.

What did you think the left was going to stand up for conservatives? They would sooner than romney, but not after they're elected, just like romney.

Pelleas| 8.3.12 @ 1:58PM

Such bitterness and venom , over a simple show of---AFFECTION...

NO WONDER ALL YOU WING-NUTS ALWAYS LOOK CONSTIPATED AND GRUMPY..!

Conservative Bob| 8.3.12 @ 2:10PM

What article did you read... please show the venom and bitterness. It doesn't show on my screen must be I left off my special decoder screen to I can pick up the hidden messages.

Project much?

Pelleas| 8.3.12 @ 3:58PM

If YOU can NOT see the utter SMARMINESS of what Goldstein spewed, nothing I say will illuminate in for you..

just a hint though--Goldstein's totally unneccesary mention of afro-american churches , and muslim mosques, in THIS context is truly nauseating

Crassus| 8.3.12 @ 4:09PM

Go kiss your butt buddy in front of a mosque and see what happens. LOL.

Conservative Bob| 8.3.12 @ 6:16PM

Something appears to be wrong with your caps key... I think it may be stuck.

I think rather than SMARMINESS, (which until nowI did not understand to mean venmous or bitter.) Aaron is being ironic, suggesting that such places also support traditional traditional definition of marrage as being between a man and a woman and no one has thought to go there with their protest.

But go ahead and get your knickers in a twist and be all outraged if that makes you happy... and please feel free swap spit with anyone you like.

Bob Grant| 8.3.12 @ 6:54PM

Explain?

The truth is Black Churches get a free pass on the gay issue. Where are the accusations of Bigotry when Black Churches voice - and at times, rather boisterously - their opposition to gay marriage?

((( Cricketts chirping)))...never mind. Don't bother responding. WE know the answer...dont' WE??

DaneChile| 8.3.12 @ 7:41PM

Look at the note above the Comments secition: "Don´t feed the trolls"!

lsudolemite| 8.3.12 @ 2:36PM

This is a bigoted statement. Since it doesn't reflect AS's core values I recommend dropping the ban hammer.

Jack of Spades| 8.3.12 @ 5:40PM

Don't give us that! The public kissing in this case was a show of contempt for the people who made Chick-fil-a Appreciation Day a success. Affection had nothing to do with it.

Pelleas| 8.3.12 @ 6:12PM

The chick fi A "appreciation" day was a act of CONTEMPT against Gay people , and our supporters---

You wouldn't know true affection, if it bit you on the butt, i bet....

Conservative Bob| 8.3.12 @ 6:30PM

No I think you have that wrong, Wednesday was a day of support for the free expression of political and religious speach.

What drew the reaction was the attack on a company by elected officials for expressing views with which they disagree.

Bob Grant| 8.3.12 @ 6:57PM

"You wouldn't know true affection, if it bit you on the butt, i bet...."

Hey, I thought they were only going to kiss at Chic-fil-A?

Jack of Spades| 8.3.12 @ 9:53PM

YOUR supporters, huh? In any case...

People who believe in the traditional definition of marriage have no obligation to acquiesce in a redefinition of marriage simply because gay activists demand they do so. And Chick-Fil-A and the Appreciation Day participants didn't pick this fight, the activists and pols like Rahm Emmanuel did. Dan Cathy simply stated his views in a magazine interview.

Gay marriage supporters should wrap their heads around the fact that supporters of traditional marriage aren't swayed by charges that they're motivated by hatred, bigotry or any other ignoble motive activists attribute to them. They know their own minds.

And gay activists (among others) should consider the possibility that the American people aren't the sheep that activists need them to be.

soljerblue| 8.5.12 @ 12:20AM

Seems like our contempt overwhelmed your contempt. So I contemptuously suggest you try out your same-sex kissing tactic where it'll show some ballz -- like central square in Ryadh.

spike59| 8.6.12 @ 5:49AM

looks like the bitterness and venom are coming from YOUR 'side'...defacing private property, cerbally harrassing teenaged workers trying to do their jobs...

spike59| 8.6.12 @ 5:50AM

'verbally'...oops

Leonard Gilbert| 8.3.12 @ 5:22PM

To Mitt Romney....
Do the smart thing. BEG Mike Huckabee to be your running mate.
The lefties will never see it coming.

ROMNEY/HUCKABEE in 2012

Leonard Gilbert| 8.3.12 @ 5:31PM

Very enlightened comment Leonard. You are so smart.

Brad| 8.5.12 @ 4:13AM

Responding to your own comment? Really? ;)

As per Huckabee, I have to disagree. Mitt needs a conservative running mate...

Leonard Gilbert| 8.3.12 @ 5:51PM

Under the Constitution, there can be no such thing as Gay Rights...nor Hispanic Rights...nor Womens Rights...nor African American Rights...nor Asian American Rights...sorry, there are only Equal Constitutional Rights available in this country. Not good enough? Well, you can get yourself a ticket to just about anywhere else in the world and you can ...MOVE THERE.
Has it occurred to anyone that if every group gets their own little set of rights, it dilutes the rights of us all. And, how do you apply Gay Rights or Womens Rights to an American that isn't a woman or gay?
Another thing...marriage is a religious thing. With a Constitutional separation of Church and State, how is it possible that marriage could be legally sanctioned by our government?
We need to find middle ground. That area where all Americans will be EQUALLY..American.
How about we institute some policy that would require ALL citizens that want to co-habitate and mingle assets and life choices...ALL to form an LLC with signed and sealed working agreements. Then, getting married would be an equal religious decision by involved parties only...find a church that sees things your way and ...go for it ...but it won't be a legal union that affects anyone else. Just between you, your partner, and your pastor.

DaneChile| 8.3.12 @ 7:39PM

We need to stop using the term "same-sex". This is something the homosexual community dreamed up and, like the word "gay", is trying to force its use.
The word "homosexual" is composed of two parts: the prefix "homo-" derives from the Greek "homos" and "sexual" is derived from the Latin. Now, get this: "homos" means "same". Thus, the people concerned simply translated a word based upon ancient Greek and Latin to modern English in order to avoid using the negatively-viewed, clinical term "homosexual".
It´s a marketing ploy. So lets call it for what it is: homosexual marriage and that, by definition, applies to male and female homosexuals. Let´s stop using "gay" and "lesbian" while we are at it.

Fiscal| 8.4.12 @ 10:29AM

And the right uses "Pro-life" when they are really "anti-abortion" It's called "Politics".

Brad| 8.5.12 @ 4:11AM

And the left uses "Pro-choice" when they really mean "pro-abortion" It too is called "Politics".

Oldefarte| 8.4.12 @ 1:57PM

It's a shame that CFA doesn't have any restaurants within the Middle East!!!!!

Oldefarte| 8.4.12 @ 1:59PM

PS: They might want to opine concerning how this situation would be handled with Sharia Law!!!!!!!

Occam's Tool| 8.5.12 @ 10:12PM

I support things that encourage children and their proper raising. I fail to see how Gay Marriage does this.

Occam's Tool| 8.5.12 @ 10:14PM

Yes, I am waiting for the same sex folks to take on Islam. Like Jack in Wi., they instead tend to support Queers for Palestine, despite Sir Elton John's wisdom on the subject.

spike59| 8.6.12 @ 5:56AM

this vandalism, harrassment of employees, tweets wishing death upon customers, is par for the course from the 'tolerant' LGBT 'commune'-ity

remember Prop 8?
