It's a shame to hear Cheney repeat the conventional (un)wisdom regarding Palin. Of the four candidates for the top offices in 2008, an argument can be made that Sarah was the most qualified. Her political experience, though brief, was largely successful, something none of the others can claim. In addition, she was the only one who consistently and effectively opposed corruption while in office.
Let's briefly examine the others:
Obama - no executive experience, and played the dilettante as legislator in both Illinois and Washington. His record, of course, speaks for itself.
Biden - no executive experience, although a true leader in comprehensive stupidity.
McCain - no political executive experience, and with a rather confusing history of political stances, which continues to this day.
I'd say that of all of them Sarah had the most potential for a successful presidency.
