The Spectacle Blog

While UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon condemned the suicide bombing which killed seven Israeli tourists in Bulgaria yesterday, he did not describe it as an act of terrorism.

As of this writing, both Navi Pillay, the UN High Commissioner on Human Rights and the UN Human Rights Council have nothing to say about the murder of innocent Israeli civilians.

How utterly shameful and cowardly.

Sadly, I cannot say that I am surprised.

Bulgarian media says the terrorist who murdered 7 people Wednesday at Burgas was Mehdi Mohammed Ghazali, who belonged to the Global Jihad.bus in bulgas bulgaria terror attack

According to these reports, which are unconfirmed, Ghazali was arrested in 2009 in southern Pakistan together with his wife and several other people, including seven Turkish nationals with false documents.

Ghazali is reportedly a Swedish citizen, with Algerian and Finnish origins, and had been held at the United States' Guantanamo Bay detainment camp in Cuba from 2002 to 2004. When than President Bush let him go, to kill again.

Sorry NeoCon's this ain't Iran's doing, no war for you today.

Very telling. You're blaming Bush for doing what you leftists wanted him to do. Never mind that The One promised to shut down Gitmo, but hasn't done it. Will you blame him also when he does and the freed islamic freaks go on to to kill again?

Tes, King, you are in favor of closing Gitmo, are you not? If not, why not? (I am OPPOSED to closing Gitmo, by the way.)

Sorry, "Yes, King."

Terrible thing about the shooter in Aurora, no? Kind of emphasizes the point we were making about medicating dangerous psychotics, yeah? (You were on the side of the angels on that one, I recall. I'm going to avoid personalizing my criticisms of your positions, if I can.)

Who funded him, King? That's an interesting question, no?

Occam's Tool| 7.20.12 @ 4:04PM

Thanks for your sympathy and concern for the innocents killed, King.

As long as his name was Mohammed, the details are irrelevant.
