The only time he seems capable of doing that is under pressure. He "respects" his campaign staff, yet they keep wandering off the reservation. Unless he picks things up, and starts aggressively going after ZerO on all fronts he's going to lose like his fellow progressives that have preceded him. Dubya is the only exception, and that was just luck because he wasn't much of a campaigner either.
To emphasize: Mittens picks up the pace or he's toast.
Bob Grant| 7.5.12 @ 6:55PM
I agree, he needs to pick up the pace.
I mean really, he doesn't need to do that much. Just walk on stage, tell the people "Vote for me because I'm not obama...I'm OUT", knock over the microphone, and turn around and struck off the stage. On November 7th, he wakes up as the 45th president of the united States.
What he DOESN'T need to do is continue with this tax-no-tax debate.
Bob Grant| 7.5.12 @ 6:56PM
that would be strut.

They're not wandering.
It's called a trial balloon.

He is right in this instance. This might be the only thing the Chief Justice got right in his opinion.
RJ| 7.5.12 @ 6:50PM
Let's not get caught up in whether it is a tax or a penalty.
What is of primary importance is that Chief Justice Roberts has held that the law of the land allows the Federal government to charge (tax or penalize) anyone for not doing what the Federal Government dictates and for not doing it exactly the way the Federal Government prescribes. Such authority is not the way of a free society, but the is mantle of dictatorship. The American Republic under the Constitution is no more. Freedom-loving Americans need to get it back, because as of last Thursday, our lives are not secured under the rule of law by the consent of the governed, but are dependent upon the good graces of the lords in government.

Tax vs penalty is semantics, and as such Romney is right to use the most pejorative term for the election (that's how Democrats beat us).
Moving past the semantics, the fact remains that the Constitutional power to tax was limited for a reason, and that reason has been forgotten since 1937. The power to tax is indeed the power to destroy, as unlimited taxation powers are unlimited powers, period. Congress could tax any action, inaction, or position, to an unlimited extent, and can impose any penalty for inability to pay the tax. With a little indirection, we could be executed for voting against Democrats.

No worries, when he's running it he'll call it a "fee" just like he did in Massachusetts.
