It’s a sad day for all the liberty-loving people of this nation.

After some initial confusion, it has been confirmed that the Supreme Court has upheld the individual mandate — the heart of Obamacare — in a 5-4 decision.

Ross Kaminsky of TAS laments that ”[this] is nothing short of a disaster for the nation, and a huge black mark on John Roberts’ legacy.”

What others are saying about the decision:

Affordable Care Act Upheld Under Taxing Powers (Daniel Foster, National Review)

The Mandate Represents What’s Wrong With Democrats (Jay Cost, Weekly Standard)

Obamacare Upheld — Should We be Shocked? (Daniel McCarthy, American Conservative)

Hate Obamacare? Then Obama Must Go (Carol Platt Liebau, Town Hall)
