Interesting! Jason Altmire, from the Pittsburgh area, is a lame duck. He was defeated in the Democratic Primary by a Union endorsed Democrat. He had not supported Obama care and was a big supporter of the new Natural Gas Industry in his area. He had been redistricted into a more heavily Democratic area after the 2010 census.

Bob K| 6.28.12 @ 6:42PM

He was defeated by Mark Critz in the above primary whose district was combined with Altmire's. Note that Critz above also voted for the contempt resolution.

Critz worked for Jack Murtha, a crook and defamer of the military in Iraq, built an airport with our tax dollars in Johnstown,Pa that nobody uses.

Bob K| 6.29.12 @ 12:07AM

Murtha is dead now contemplating the evanescence of power while sitting amongst the flames. Critz is a demo very low on the parties totem pole and likely to stay there now after this vote.

There are some issues that really define what kind of poilitician and and man you are. This is one of them. The only sad excuse from the two RINOs that I can imagine is the fear of race riots should Holder go down. If you make decisions on that sort of basis, just go away. Go far far away.

What does this contempt citation mean? Nothing? It's a slap on the wrist and will be effectively ignored by this administration. They're laughing at it, since it means squat in the end. The one and only solution is again to VOTE THE ENTIRE REPUBLICAN TICKET IN NOVEMBER AND GET RID OF AS MANY OF THESE DEMOCRATS AS POSSIBLE. Democrats control the presidency and senate currently and the Republicans are spitting in the wind with anything they attempt sicne they do not have political control. The voters were stupid on 11/4/08 and previously in elected these Democrats and now they are paying the price for same now. If this POTUS is re-elected, this country will die and that's no BS!!!!

Nancy in NC| 6.29.12 @ 9:03AM

The country is on life support as we speak, and survival is questionable at best. A full recovery is not in the picture.

Oldefarte| 6.29.12 @ 10:36AM

Recovery is POSSIBLE if [and only if] Americans sweep as many Democrats as possible our of office in November. It won't be easy and it won't be immediate, but recovery is possible over time. the certainly however is economic/fianancial death within three years if this administration is re-elected "stupidly"!!!!!

Perhaps it is (in the picture). Check out this take on it:
