If extraterrestrials attack Earth, who do you want in the White House, answering that red phone? According to a new poll, Americans would choose Barack Obama over Mitt Romney by nearly a two-to-one margin.

I can already see the attack ad.

OMINOUS VOICE: It’s 3 a.m. and your children are safe and asleep. But there’s a phone in the White House, and it’s ringing. Hostile reptilian creatures armed with semi-automatic photon cannon are quietly debarking from landing craft in major cities worldwide. Your vote will decide who answers that call.
